Re: Negligent Mother - I didn't realize on how many levels HS' words hurt her. We had become so focused on Babita the woman, that Babita the mother had been forgotten. It really says something about HS too in that he knew exactly what to say to leave her insecure about so many different aspects of her life. Aspects that I think are some of the most important in a woman's life - having the freedom to choose their own life partner, the responsibilities that come with owning a business, and the identity that is created when one becomes a mother. (Of course all these elements are not necessary to complete a woman, but they are vital to what makes Babita Babita.) That night, HS targetted everything that was important to Babes and shook her to the core. This wound that he inflicted won't be healed that easily.
Yes, exactly, and this is why she can't get over it. This time he involved Minnie and challenged her as a mother as well as an entrepreneur. The fact they share Minnie as their common thread made it only worse. It really was as if Minnie's father was telling her mother that she wasn't good enough as a parent. Ashok had done the same to Babita too. The difference is that Ashok was useless as a father whereas HS has been a blessing.
I really appreciated Minnie in this scene. No, Babes wasn't being selfish. Her paying attention to her own wants and desires doesn't make her negligent of Minnie. And if we look at it, Minnie doesn't need a lot of attention. She's a grown woman who can look after herself. Yes, there may be some issues that need an adult's help, but for the most part her life was running good. The surgery was a success and with proper care, she was able to recover from that fairly quickly too. So in that sense, it's not wrong for Babes to look at herself. What else does she want from life? If being with HS makes her happy, then why should she shy away from it?
On a side note, I loved Minnie's callback to Lovely Bua ki kasam. It was such a cute moment. 😆
Re: Fate Rules People - I understand HS wanting Babes to accept him with all of Imarti's memories but to an extent I think it's unfair. The only good thing that came out of her marriage with Ashok is Minnie. Other than that, she has not a single fond memory of him. HS on the other hand has nothing but good memories of Imarti. Her last days on Earth would have carved a whole new spot in his soul. We have seen the intensity of his love and how Imarti has literally become infused with his soul. In this way, i find Hanita's relationship to be unbalanced. On both sides, they are bringing an extra person to the relationship - Babes, Minnie and HS, Imarti. Both Hanita love and respect this extra person a lot but it's getting to the point that this extra person is becoming more important than Hanita themselves. I'm not saying that Minnie or Imarti's importance should be lessened, but Hanita need to elevate each other's place in their lives too.
Despite their fight, I'm amazed by Hanita's thinking process. They both strongly believe that they themselves were wrong in their actions and hence will prefer to self-inflict a punishment rather than approach the other. Babes in thinking that she was wrong in hoping for a new life partner, and HS for lighting that hope in Babes in the first place. In both cases they're going to be at a loss. Babes may completely stop all interactions with HS and truly live up to the landlord-tenant relationship. HS will be left feeling a void in his life that could be filled but he's just not willing to take that leap.
As we keep saying, someone will have to step up, speak up. That will only be possible when they either reach a point where there is a threat of losing one another or when at least one of them is unable to control their emotions in close quarters or is unable to live in such isolation. I expect all the things that they will now not tell each other and start bottling up will eventually come out as an explosion in a fight or something.
(On a side note, Anirudh looked extra adorable with his hair all mussed like that. 😳)
Re: Heartfelt Prayers - I'm not sure what it was about this scene. It might have been the weariness of the trial, or the exhaustion from the past few days, but HS looked really closed off. The usual warmth he has while looking at Minnie just wasn't there.
I think he had just steeled himself to take on the case and deal with the fallout. The fact that he was up against his beloved Imarti's father, his bapu, was making it very hard for him to take. Even in his interactions with Minnie, he seemed very mellow.
Re: Nanaji - Sardarji broke my heart when he started crying. 😭 Once upon a time, he too must have dreamt of being called Nanaji. Of having his home tinkle with the laughter of his grandchild. Of parading the child through the streets whilst proudly claiming them his own. The stories he must have saved up to narrate them on sleepless nights. He lost so much with Imarti's death. He didn't just lose his blood, but he lost the hope of seeing his own legacy survive after him.
This... the writers brilliant conveyed this in that one word of Minnie's... Nanaji. I really really love how they pack every expression and dialogue with so much meaning and layers that it doesn't need to be spelled out to the audience.
Re: Precap - I'm waiting to see what Minnie says too. Lately she has been impressing me a lot with her insight into people. Babes has always had a great emotional insight. Her ability to be able to voice other people's hearts is just something else. Both HS and Sardarji are going to cry buckets when they hear Imarti's last thoughts as voiced by Babes. I like how Sardarji is going to come around. It's not a solo effort by Minnie or Babes, it's both of theirs. It's a dual attempt in rectifying a broken relationship. To heal the wounds created by an immense loss, to give closure to a spirit that will never be forgotten.
I can't wait for the scene where he brings Sardarji home, and where they remember Imarti together.

About the date, well I always make silly copy-paste errors! Itna lamba post ke baad concentration low rehta hai. 😆

That's why it hurt Babes so much. When it comes to Minnie they have always been on the same page and now all of a sudden her upbringing is being questioned while HS had raised his status by claiming himself Minnie's father in front of everyone. When Ashok used to question her, there was an offensive feeling but there was also a deep anger and resentment thrown back at him. Who the heck was he to question her when he has been absent for so long? But HS has seen everything they've been through. He's seen Babes the mother in action. He has not only heard her fears and struggles in raising her, but has also understood and helped her ease the load.
I would like Babita to step up right now. First to address how he hurt her, then secondly to not do her a disservice by making the decisions for her. It was wrong of him to just assume that she won't understand him, bear the load of his problems or love him with everything he has left. We've had an explosive fight already but it didn't do much good for them. There was so much still left unsaid and the matters they put forth, they failed to back them up. It was more of a tu tu main main rather than this is how what you did affected me.
Yeahh. He truly was exhausted. I loved how in today's episode even Mrs. Khatri called him out on his lies. The whole mohalla knows him so well. <3
Yes! I love how they don't consider their audience to be stupid. How many times have we gone back to episodes and found some new things to say? Or have gotten a deeper meaning because of a new piece of information that has been revealed?
Oh, that scene was too much. I haven't even finished the episode yet. 😭
