Tusshar Kapoor survived? how? he will survive for life because he has entire family in bollywood. Still today he can't get solo films means producers are not ready to invest because they don't think the film can be sold on his name while sushant is capable of getting films where he is hero which means he is able to draw public to theatres. That too coming from outside but yay that doesn't matter... U will not give him credit. there but the first one to take away the credit....

Pavitra rista was definitely a hit. As a bollywood actor he has delivered hit films to his credit.... praise worthy performances .. Raabta was disaster but sushant proved himself as a competent actor... Nobody could save that movie because it was a bad film. So yes successful overexposed tv actor doesn't mean u can't succeed in bollywood. An actor can have successful career in both television and bollywood.

First get this clear that I'm not any Sushant hater. I was expecting him to get the stardom that Ranveer, Varun and Tiger enjoy today. But that didn't happen and I'm not going to lie to myself that Sushant has got some imaginary stardom. Yaha acting ki baat nahi ho rahi hai. Success or failure ki hi rahi hai, aur success aur failure box office se hi decide hota hai. Otherwise Salman aur Tiger industry mein nahi hote.

I'm not conviniently ignoring anything. I already said that MSD can't be counted as the collections mainly came because of Dhoni fans. The movie didn't trend well enough despite getting a big opening because of Dhoni. If audience was so much impressed by Sushant's performance then the movie should have trended well. Opening 20 Crores and lifetime only 120 Crores is not good trending. No one was interested in Narendra Modi biopic like Dhoni biopic. That movie opened very low so not the right comparison. He has only 1 clean hit out of 7 films so no, that is nowhere a definition of successful actor.

Sushant getting solo lead films has nothing to do with overexposure. How many times do I have to repeat that? Yes, he has got solo lead projects and deserves credit for that. Lo de diya credit. Ab khush? Par iska box office aur overexposure se kya lena dena? Tushaar ke paas solo lead projects nahi hai phir bhi hai na industry mein? And at Sushant's age he too was getting solo projects. Let's see where Sushant goes once he reaches Tushaar's age.

SRK became the king of Bollywood, Vidya has seen both commercial and critical success. The rest are doing fine for themselves. As much as I like Rajeev K, I don't think he has had a successful run. I didn't even think he was still relevant till I saw teaser of his movie Pranaam.

Tushaar is a product of nepotism and Sushant is outsider. So there is no comparison but Tushar is considered more popular than most TV actors because in India, Bollywood actors are always superior than TV actors no matter how flop they are. I heard about it many times on this forum.

Tushar is not superior to TV actors but outsiders too need connections to survive. Its not just on pure talent. If people have so much problem with Tushaar's example, let me give example of another talentless hack Sid Mal. He's an outsider but only surviving because of Kjo. I'll not call that success. Anyway, surviving in industry has nothing to do with overexposure.
