I will tell you about a circus story .
Once there was a big famous circus where many "freaks" used to give performance and in whichever town they'd go , the show would be houseful. Every town they went people were very curious about this group of strange people and horde in to see them perform . But the group , though given a luxurious life style and good salary were never allowed to go out in the main town during the tour.
One day , with out informing the manager , the group decided to went out to a diner , for an outing . Soon word spread and the diner was packed with town people . They took their autographs , clicked pictures with them and shook their hands .
But next day , for the first time , their show didn't sell out even half ! No body , it seemed , wanted to waste their money on watching them because they've already seen them up , close and personal in their normal looks . As a result , the curiosity , the mystery around them had finished and so did the frenzy surrounding them .
The key word - distance with common mass.
This is where tv actors lack. We see them every day from our home tv for years . Wo appeal , wo mystery - we get used to it . Human beings are creatures that get bored really easily . Some times , being a popular actor on tv is a curse for the bolly career of the actor / actress , because we still relate to them from their well known tv characters . I was watching KGF at the nearby multiplex and when Mouni appeared for the Gali gali song , people were cheering and applauding her as the "Naagin " !! Whereas it's true that the massive success of the original Naagin franchise paved path in a big way for Mouni's bollywood career , it is also what is pulling her back.
