There a lot of ways this track can go. All I can tell from what they have setup is that Kethki is being presented as a third angle. And Malhar has a choice to make.

I think the CVS are setting up like that so that Malhar can prove that he's nothing like Atul.

Even in today's episode, Atul was worried that Malhar might leave his daughter cause he saw the parallel in the situation. Now he sees how painful its must have been for Anu.
