Dia M Rubbishes Kanika ’s Rumoured Affair With Ex Husband Sahil

Yesterday turned out as an unfortunate day with not one, but two heartbreaking news of broken marriages. First Dia Mirza announced her divorce with husband Sahil Sangha after 11 years of marriage. And later, on the same day, Judgmentall Hai Kya writer Kanika Dhillon confirmed that her marriage with Prakash Kovelamudi was in wraps.While the entire media fraternity and fans were already shocked and saddened with these disclosures, another shocking report surfaced the Internet last night stating that Kanika’s affair with Sahil was the reason behind Dia Mirza’s divorce!

An entertainment portal report had stated the news of Sahil and Kanika's affair, which was evidently a baseless rumour. Dia took to her Twitter handle to clear the air about the presence of the third person involved between her and her husband’s divorce, in a series of tweets. She requests the media to be graceful and allow them the time for some privacy.

1) This is to clarify and put to rest all kind of speculation that is being bandied about by a certain section of the media regarding my separation with Sahil. It is most unfortunate to see the level of irresponsibility exercised.

2) What is even more unfortunate is that our colleagues names are being tarnished and maligned by this media. As a woman I will not stand for another woman’s name being used so irresponsibly to perpetuate a lie.

3)There is absolutely no truth to the alleged reports and no third person is the reason for Sahil and I to part ways. We have requested the media to be graceful and allow us this time for some privacy. Really hope they can respect that.

Kanika reacted to Dia's tweet and replied saying, "Thank u! @deespeak. always admired ur work.. and now admire u more for ur graciousness and what u stand for as a woman and as a person!! Much love and big hug!"

Besides Dia, Kanika even reacted to this false news flash and rubbished the rumors of an affair with Dia’s husband, Sahil. She took to Twitter and wrote, “Laughable-Despicable-Irresponsible! Fiction writing is my job! Can tabloids b a lill more responsible pls? Jst bcos 2news items come at d same time-They can’t b interlinked! It’s not a potpourri! Hav NEVER met Diya/ Sahil in my ENTIRE life! Pls get over it n let us get back 2work!”
