Do u know how much men complain about those Ladies only coaches and ladies only seats in buses mocking where is the equality in it. Why should there by any equality when this is how they make fun of our miseries on public platforms. Its like most even don't understand or don't care what a woman goes through in public places when such men exists around us. I m already crying while posting this, this is how much years of being molested in public places have done to me. Not just as a woman but also as a child. These creeps leave no one. And yet its all fun and joke for the rest.

Oh, those men will never get it. How disgusted and helpless that makes you feel. I understand, these kind of experiences we can't forget and stays with you over the years. These creeps target vulnerable victims the most, the ones who are less likely to raise their voices and confront them. Those laughing are really cold-blooded, deriving enjoyment from someone else's trauma.. zero humanity left in them.

SRK being more popular then Tom Cruise is no big deal, entire South Asian film loving population is triple that of west.

That was what the tweet was about lmfao? He made Bollywood famous! There was no reach except him. And yes he promoted in those circles and SUCCEEDED too. At one point he was the be all and end all of Bolly's reach outside India. He's synonymous with Bolly for most outside India. He catered to that market. Not his problem nobody else had the brains to promote Bolly outside India and find an audience there. For most foreigners he's synonymous with Bolly.

And SRK the most known face in the world is a big deal. Because as you say tons of Bolly actors have come and gone, praytell why they couldn't crack that code he did. That's literally the point. Shah broke that barrier. He made Bolly famous. Nobody before him could beat Tom before Shah even though as you say the entire South Asian film loving population is triple that of West.

😆 Damn. I absolutely hate that. Especially when mom goes all 'you gotta meet them and talk to them and ask them what they will have'. Adult me has to do all that. But the teen me had tricks. I used to hate spontaneous atithi dropping so much when Harry Potter Books used to release that the moment the bell would ring I would just take my book and go to the bathroom and just make myself comfortable in the empty bathtub for hours.

He pretty much still is. Indians have a tendency to put down their own people but SRK isn't just famous amongst NRIs. He's famous and loved in almost all of what is considered the global south. It's the native populations that love him in places like Indonesia, Malaysia, almost all African countries-from Nigeria to Egypt to obscure places like Somalia and Sierra Leone and obviously all the Middle East. In most of these places, it's not BW that is famous - it's just him. People watch his movies on pirated copies and sing songs of a language they don't understand. Everything can't be measured by counting how many more lakhs that single screen theater in Indore made.

How many actors are able to get on international talk shows, news shows, and other media in England, France, Germany, etc, just based on their Hindi language work? Not because they're promoting their 5 minute English language Hollywood roles. I'll wait.

There's no other actor past or present in BW who has SRK's reach. It's only in India that the bhakts have tried for years to ruin his reputation by spreading fake news of donations to Pakistan and things like that.

Word!

I've personally met Shah fans in the remotest of places while travelling abroad. One remote town in Russia, where people knew just Shah and Dev Anand for some reason big fan of the movie Guide, in Iran where two PhD students and I had a whole conversation in their broken English about Kal ho Na ho.😆

Couldn't resist asking - no one wondered what you were doing locked inside a bathroom in an empty bathtub for so long ? .. 😆 .. M sure your parents knew ( or else i cant even imagine the embarrassing questions that would follow ) but what about the guests ? ..

My excuse used to be cliche - "exams are nearing .. padhai karni hain .. But it was nice meeting you uncle/aunty .." .. Problem tab hoti thi jab guests showed up with kids my own age , thats just unavoidable ..
