Shah globalized Bollywood in the way noone did. That's not even a Fangirl statement or whatever you call it. Its a basic fact lol. I can say in atleast 17 odd countries I've visited the only name they knew when I brought up Bolly was Shah. And in some parts Amitabh. The entire NRI movement and global Bolly movement if I can call it that was a very specific to Shah. At one point he was a more known face than Tom Cruise. Its foolish to even deny his impact on Bolly.

Their content would go but it's not going to one place , there are 4 streaming sites that's taking it's usual content , also other streaming sites can't launch their international version right now.I think it would stay afloat and HBO Max might be biggest followed by Disney plus in America.

I was thinking the same thing. 😆 Y'know I was thinking of this few days ago. The man brought so much acclaim to India but his one statement in one interview, just turned the wheels the way. I just feel awful about it sometimes. He's still a proud Indian something you can't even say about shitty stars who gave up their nationality and preach ultra nationalism. Shah deserves better.

Raj Kapoor, Amitabh and others were famous too, the thing that worked in SRK's favour was the huge NRI audience and he specifically did films that catered to that audience.. DDLJ, KKHH DTPH, Pardes etc and he along with the producers marketed those films really well.

SRK being more popular then Tom Cruise is no big deal, entire South Asian film loving population is triple that of west.

These kind of people are so shameless and common, exactly why I avoid buses like the plague, never know which creep will end up behind pinching you. Whoever in this country had come up with the idea to have ladies-only coaches in trains is a god-sent genius.
