Deepika's PR plan was to destroy her image especially on SM which lends majorly to her branding? Make it make sense.
Yes your(two) point also makes sense.
But I look at it from another angle. PR didn't initiate it, but they can escalate it.
See, aab film toh karni hi hai, image ka Kiya hai, if Deepika can change her image from ''dekhiyari ex'' to ''oh see my ex is my fab'', toh yeh koi baadi baat nahi hai. Half of the bandwagoners will go to watch the movie, come back and crib in Twitter.
So why not, let's escalate the issue so much it becomes a national debate, leading to eye grabbing controversy. Kinda like Padmavat dream love sequence. It's not like that dream sequence news was shared by someone else.
And legally no one can stop Deepika or Ranbir or Ajay/Tabu in this matter, as Luv Racoon is accused, not guilty.
I don't trust these attention hungry tools, they can come up with anything.
Also these are my theories, based on these chaman's earlier antics, I can be totally wrong, but atm I am at peace with the idea of this being a deliberate attention seeking ploy by her and his PR team.
