Hi everyone, I’m sure everyone enjoyed the episode as much as me. Caught up very late, but couldn’t stop myself from writing about today’s episode. Today’s episode was a roller coaster of emotions for me and had so many beautiful scenes. Here are some of the scenes that touched me.
Abir-mishti-kunal confrontation - Today I understand why Abir loves kunal so much. For him kunal is still his little brother who was deprived of their father’s love and is manipulated by his mother. In a lot of families the older sibling tends to become a surrogate parent to the younger siblings, especially in a single-parent household. The older sibling takes it upon themself and tries to fulfill the absent parent’s role for their sibling, they pamper them, spoil them, and oftentimes love them to a fault. Ultimately the younger sibling becomes so dependent and possessive of the older sibling, that even the thought of another person in the older sibling’s life is threatening to them. They are not willing to share their parent and would oftentimes resort to any manipulation to restore their importance. Kunal today looked like the sibling who desperately wanted to remove the one person who he feels endangers his importance in his older brother’s life. He is trying every trick in the book to separate Abir and mishti, but failing to see where his brother’s happiness lie. Like every parent Abir loves his brother, but like a very wise parent he also knows when to discipline his kid too, which is exactly what he did today.
Kuhu-kunal confrontation - today I actually felt bad for kuhu. This girl loves this guy so much so that even the thought of losing him is unbearable to her. She is so much in love with this guy, that she was willing to reveal the one big truth of her life that even her own family isn’t aware of. She is so much in love with him that she was even willing to beg to her enemy. This revelation of truth is going to hit her family and devastate them and she has no one else to blame but herself. Hope she is strong enough to bear the heartbreak that’s on her way for whom she is doing all this. She may hate her sister, but in the end her sister might be the only one still fighting for her happiness. The best part was knowing she felt at least some guilt when Abir looked at her when mishti apologized.
Parul-Abir conversation - these two have the sweetest relationship for me, more than Abir-nannu, The love and respect Abir has for her and the care/trust parul has for Abir makes this one of the healthiest relationship of this show. And why wouldn’t Abir trust her too? she seems to be one just woman. Even after all the manipulation by bigben, she is still not judging people and trying to identify people from their behavior. She is a nice combination of innocence and loyalty.
Varsha, badima - it was wrong that they expected mishti to ask sorry, but can we actually blame them. This is what the society expects women to do, apologize and manage a situation. I liked how varsha came and stood with mishti and made clear how responsible mishti is and this one small mistake doesn’t define who she is.
Mishti - this is one strong girl. She has molded all the years of pain into an armor and standing against the world all alone. After years of watching FL sacrificing their self-respect to spare her family from humiliation, I was pleasantly surprised and extremely happy when mishti raised the question why should she ask sorry in front of so many, why should her self-respect be compromised. I completely understood where mishti is coming from. For mishti it wasn’t about ego. For her, it was about her self-respect; why should a girl’s respect be any less than a guy’s respect; why should a girl compromise her self-respect just because she is younger than the other person; why should a girl always accept being wrong even when she’s not; why should a girl always have to prove herself. When I watch a show, I try to enjoy every bit of it, especially the background music. A background music can increase the impact of a scene 10 folds if its good. The music when mishti walked towards bigben was amazing, this music really gave the impact it needed. The room was surrounded by every person who claims to love her, but she couldn’t have been any lonelier. This is for this strong girl
“Dhuniya ki is bheed mein, na jaane mein kahaan kho gayi
Apne bhi toh bohot hain, phir bhi mein tanha ho gayi - anonymous”
Bigben-BadePapa - I’m really loving the cat-and-mouse game these 2 are playing. Bigben may succeed in fooling the entire maheshwari family, but not badepapa. His experience has taught him to identify a person for what they are. Every subtle hint he threw at bigben was worth it. The world may be against mishti, but nothing is going to stop a father from fighting for his daughter’s self-respect. Dialogue writers are doing an amazing job for him. “Apne badima ki sanskaar lekhe aayi thi, apne badepapa ki khudhaari ke saath jaa rahi hai”.
Left the best for last, Abir-mishti - he didn’t even need to talk to her, he didn’t want her to apologize, but he guided her to do what maybe best under the circumstances. Who says you need words to express your love. When you understand a person in the true sense, even silence says a lot of things. Abir is in a dilemma between his brother’s happiness and his mishti’s pain, he sees her getting hurt time and again, but is helpless. His patience seems to be wearing thin. Waiting for the day when the truth comes out and how he reacts.
Precap seems interesting. Bigben is blackmailing parul, but she is forgetting something, parul is a mother first. When it comes to bigben or her son, she will choose her son. So between her ever-suspicious son and parul, I don’t think she’s going to have a big chance of victory at whatever master plan she has.
