Slapping and beating one's partner is text book definition of a toxic relationship... How is slapping/beating up people an expression of love, affection?

This idea is derived from childhood through parents that verbal abuse and physical abuse = love. But it's not. Abusive relationships of any kind is not love, it's toxic and destructive.

Only unconditional love is true love..it doesn't involve abuse and it is not only limited to romantic love.

What you've written in the post title isn't what he said.

"Unconditional love" means unconditional. No abuse is a condition.

I certainly don't believe in unconditional love. There must be conditions.
