Part 4
“Taani..”
Taani stopped in her track when she heard him calling her from behind. She was going towards her class after coming out of VP’s cabin. She closed her eyes to prepare herself before she turned around to face him.
“I want to talk to you.” He said in plain tone as he came and stood in front of her. She gulped down the nervousness which was building inside her because somewhere she knew about what he wanted to talk.
They both start walking towards FE, their usual private place. She was avoiding looking at him and he could see that but today he’s not going to back down until he wouldn’t talk to her.
She was thinking about what happened some time ago. She was confused when peon informed her that VP sir has called her, but she got nervous seeing Rey already present there. Her nervousness changed into shock when VP sir told her that he has appointed her as an AGS but more shocking thing was that Rey has suggested her name as an AGS because he thinks she is an efficient for this post.
She knew at this time no one is on this post and because of that Rey has been working double but she was shocked to know that after whatever happened between them still he wanted her as his assistant. But she wasn’t able to decide that what should she do now.. because she is not the perfect candidate for this post because first of all she doesn’t know anything about related to this post and most importantly she is new in this college so become an AGS is out of the question. So after thinking she did what she thought was right.

They entered into the FE before Rey closed the door and turned towards her who was still avoiding him, this made him more annoyed.
“Would you care to explain why did you do that..?” he asked directly as he folded his arms across his chest.
Rey was also has been called by VP sir regarding to appoint an AGS and he also need someone to help him as soon he’ll be going to busy in Footloose competition and then it’ll become difficult for him to manage everything alone but the problem was they hadn’t have much time to hold elections for it, so VP sir suggested him to appoint someone on his own and then the only name came into his mind was…Taani.
First, VP sir wasn’t ready to give her such huge responsibility as she is new in this college but then Rey made him understand that right now no one other than her is more eligible candidate for this post as he had seen her work during charity event and she is quite an efficient in handling these kind of works, so VP sir agreed with it, but what she did was unexpected.
She looked up at him into his eyes which were reflecting anger and hurt which got her confused because according to her what she had done was right and this is what he wanted.. then why he is so angry with her?
“I’m asking you something, Taani.” He hissed in anger as he took a step near her. Her silent treatment is torturing him now. She flinched away from him in fear. His anger is the thing which scared hell out of her.
“W..what I did, was right.” She replied gaining some courage to stand in front of him.
“Really..?? Can you please enlighten me, what is RIGHT in that?” he asked stressing on ‘right’ word as he raised his brows at her.
“I had told already.”She said and looked away.
“I’m glad sir, that you have considered me an efficient enough.. but someone else is more efficient for this post than me.” She said.
“Who..?” VP sir asked.
“Kriya.”
He remembered what she had said there in VP’s cabin.
He was beyond shocked to hear kriya’s name. He had suggested Taani’s name because he knew she is an efficient for this post. He was somewhere happy thinking that now she will be near him, so he will get to spend some time with her and then he can make her comfortable around him and rectify his mistakes but she refused to be an AGS and it’s hurt him that she doesn’t even wanted to work with him, let alone to be near him,but then thinking about kriya his hurt changed into anger and adding into it VP sir agreed with it.
“Yeah.. I remember that but why did you suggest kriya’s name..?” he asked, not caring how much his voice sounded desperate.
She looked at him and for some moments they both got lost into each other’s eyes. She could again see the same emotions in his eyes which she had seen when they were in VP’s cabin, which she hadn’t seen before in his eyes for her but was too confused to recognize them.
Other side, he could see confusion along with many questions in her eyes… as if she is asking from him the reason of his sudden change through her eyes but he knew he can’t answer her when he, himself is unaware of the reason of his this changed behavior.
She came back into her senses and averted her eyes away from him.
“Because, kriya was an AGS before too, so she knew everything and can handle it. She is perfect for this post, and more over that I’m not interested in to be an AGS.” Taani said composing herself, not wanted to become weak in front of him.
Though she knew it was a half lie. He is the only one who gives her happiness, even his name is enough to bring a smile on her face and only she knew how badly she wanted to be near him but she can’t because she knew her feelings for him would hurt both of them, so it’ll be better if she stay away from him. And then thinking about her promise to kriya she took that decision. But little did she knew that he isn’t happy with her this decision.
“Whatever… but I had suggested your name because I know you can do this and most importantly it was best opportunity for you to prove yourself to everyone that you also can take your responsibilities seriously.” He argued back as he wasn’t able to understand that why she is so adamant to make kriya an AGS.
“I don’t want to prove myself to anyone. Jise jo kahna hai…jo sochna hai mere bare mein… soch sakta hai… mujhe koi farak nahi padta.” She said in calm tone without any emotion in her eyes and this made him shocked as well as worried for her because the girl is standing in front of him is not the same Taani, who he knew. She has changed and her change is affecting him a lot.
“…Aur rahi kriya kibaat toh… wo decision VP sir already le chuke hai… toh ab kya hua aur kyun hua usse koi farak nahi padta.” She said and left from there leaving him drowning in his guilt because he knew the reason behind her change is him.

Days were passing,keeping all of them busy in their life. Gang was busy rehearsing hard for the competition as Footloose is in coming two days. Everyone was happy as now both the teams are participating in it as kriya has returned back. Swayam and Sharon has another reason for being happy as their trial relationship is finally going smoothly and making them come closer to each other.
But one soul wasn’t happy with whatever happening around him…Rey. He doesn’t want to work with kriya, though it was totally professional being GS & AGS but he isn’t happy with this, yeah he has forgiven her for what she did in past because she wasn’t in fault and starts considering her as a friend but nothing more other than this. He has realized that whatever he felt for her in past was mere an attraction which has faded away long back and now he hasn’t had any feeling for her and that’s why he wanted to keep some distance from her.
Other side, kriya was on cloud nine being near to Rey. She even thanked Taani for doing this for her. She has been seeing Rey is still behaving differently with her but she has a hope in her heart that everything will be alright between them and soon they will be together as she is planning to propose him after Footloose.
Taani’s condition wasn’t different from Rey, even worse. She wasn’t showing anyone but she was hurt so much. From outside she was behaving normal in front of all but from inside she was dying every day, seeing Rey with someone else, but she can’t do anything as she herself did this just for Rey because she knew kriya is his first and true love and he will be happy to get his love back.
She had heard that love gives pain but she didn’t believe on it because she always felt love is the most beautiful feeling of the world from when she has starts feeling it for Rey, but now she has realized love is not only the name of happiness and happily ever after but it also gives pain, hurt and loneliness too. Some people are not lucky enough to be blessed with love and she is the one from them, but she is happy for him…after all love is being happy in the happiness of your loved ones.

Rey left the lockers room as soon as he changed his clothes. Gang had already left after completing final rehearsal as tomorrow is the competition. He stayed back for some work.He starts walking towards exit when he was passing by a classroom he noticed some shadows. He stopped in his track and checked the time in his watch and got confused that..Who could be in the college that too at this time?
He turned around and walked towards the classroom and stopping outside it he looked into it and seeing the person there his brows knitted in confusion… there was standing Taani that too with Shivam.
He couldn’t able to hear their conversation as door was shut but he just see them through the glass door. He was confused, what she is doing here at this late and that too with that shivam. He got angry thinking after making her understand so many times even scolding her to stay away from him, she still meeting him and talking with him that too this late and here in vacant classroom.
His anger went on another level when he saw shivam held her keeping his hands on her shoulder, his hands curled into a fist and before he could realize he barked inside, making both of them startled. Taani could see the fury in his eyes and knew the reason of it but before she could do anything, his next action made her horrified.
Rey jerked shivam’s hand from Taani and then punched him hard on his face.
“Shivam…” she screamed in shock as he fell on ground due to the force of punch. She tried to move towards him but felt a tight grip on her wrist. She looked back and found Rey was glaring at her as if warning her don’t you dare to go against me.
She wasn’t able to think properly what just happened and what she do now but again he stopped her to think anything as he starts dragging her out with him forcefully.
