It was definitely not age-appropriate but that excuse is always just used to spread hatred on other actors. When it's your fave, it's okay and justified. All fans behave like that.

In reality, nobody really cares about actor's real ages. Movies are a fantasy so it really doesn't matter.

age doesn't matter if you look the part, ranveer looked like a college student so he fit the role

deepika will be playing a teenager in chhapaak, so most actors do play different ages

Aamir played a 20 year old student in his 40s. No one questioned him. If you can do justice to role, age doesn't matter.
