July 1st: A shaken Sonakshi

I have to say, so far the epis are well paced. Not super fast, not super slow. There is a gradual unfolding and they are soap savvy enough to draw out the “events” and the dramatic high points without too much drag.

Today’s epi again essentially revealed some nuggets of Rohit and Sonakshi’s pasts while revealing some more of the family dynamics too.

1) Sonakshi eyeing the food in the hospital canteen and then reluctantly ordering a green tea. Lol bechari. 😆. I liked her interaction with the Nurse. Thankfully she wasn’t as OTT as the maid who follows her around with folded hands 🙈.

2) Rohit being teased by his brothers vis a vis a love interest in his life. Seems like Rohit may not have told them about his ex girlfriend who died or they all think he’s moved on. But he clearly still looks haunted. Also, seems like his other brother married super young.

3) Sonakshi’s phone ringtone is the theme song of her show “Kahaani Parvati ki” 🤣. Hadh hoti hai loyalty ki. Lol she’s a little too invested in her show.

4) Rohit’s mansion actually has a FUNCTIONING elevator inside it 😲. I have never seen a daily soap ka mansion set having an elevator before. Deffo something new to see. I quite like the set design.

5) Rohit’s father chides him for not treating Sonakshi with the respect for a lady and Rohit’s response seems to indicate his father doesn’t have much respect for women either. I’m curious if this is directed at his parents’s marriage. More skeletons in the closet to unfold gradually I guess.

6) Sonakshi’s ex Karan finally makes his entry and he’s as cliched as they come. Struggling actor dating random despo girl and berating Sonakshi for not being “hot” enough. Seems like he cheated on Sonakshi cuz she wouldn’t sleep with him before marriage and then broke off their engagement. Her scar is from him throwing the ring at her.

Also, definitely some connection to the girl who died in Rohit’s OT. Maybe Sonakshi or Karan was driving the car that killed the girl. Karan mentioned an accident today.

Sonakshi’s disappearance will be tackled more clearly in tomorrow’s epi I guess. Today ended mainly on her mom screaming.

I missed Rohit’s mom today. Her scenes are always sweet.

LOL but this is not an apartment building.....it's a mansion and the elevator is a fancy glass wala like some luxury hotel.....lol it went up FOUR floors....maine toh kabhi nahin dekha kisi show mein......😆.....I thought it was quite a refreshing set design.....Main foyer has the giant staircase, phir bhi elevator hai😆

It seems modeled after Ambanis ka ghar somewhat😆..

Gul ke third class shows ke third class elevators ki toh baat na hi karein :P

Loving the pace of the show. They keep unfolding the drama little by little & it’s nice to see something without the usual blaring music in the background.

The only criticism I have is I find Deepika looking quite haggard as in tired especially in the closeups. Is she supposed to look like that? Acting on tv is a demanding job!

So far this is the only show I’m liking to watch & probably we can enjoy the first 100 episodes. After that the story then goes awry due to market forces.

I'm really sure Rohit's and Sonakshi's past has a connection. I don't think his ex is dead though? Who does he keep calling then?

Sonakshi is not the kind of person who leaves someone injured. If the accident would have been for her, then she would have stayed with the person till he/she was recovered.

The past has deep seeds that have been sowed, slowly they will get revealed as and when required. It’s all interesting atm.

Loved Sonakshi eyeing the food, she was literally drooling 😂😂. Poor girl. Wats the benefit of earning money when you can’t eat also 😂😂😂 but I guess she loves her work.

Romil aka Karan cliched, abuser and a drunkard. Romil Deepika chemistry on screen just reminisces BB journey, they had a similar relationship back then, dislike for each other. His calling out to her for her arrogance, she calling out to him with disgust. The makers have cashed on off screen dynamics 😂😂

A little bit of indulgence should be allowed but this scene really showed the pressure on celebs the whole body image thing they go through daily and how sad it really is nicely.. and yes the nurse was nice and i laughed so hard when she revealed she is Tulsi🤣named after KSBKT . i started laughing caz Tulsi and Parvathi were having lil chat time . it was just so amusing 🤣reminded me of the good era

2) Rohit being teased by his brothers vis a vis a love interest in his life. Seems like Rohit may not have told them about his ex girlfriend who died or they all think he’s moved on. But he clearly still looks haunted. Also, seems like his other brother married super young. i really enjoyed the vibe between the brothers they seem close to each other have a very chill vibe , love, affection, jokes just like any regular brothers but WHAT I LIKED THE MOST IS they are not chipkooing and being over extra chipku and sappy What a joy it was them all talking without being so extra and singing random pyar ke naghme for each other. such a refreshing brotherly bond and yeah i wonder why rohit haven't told them about his past caz it seemed like he was serious it wasn't just a fling hence he still gets lost on thoughts and feels the pangs of sadness but then i also appreciate that too that he has his little bit of privacy from hsi brothers too his life isn't a joke for rest and a Common topic of discussion and velle usse advices dene main busy nahi hain. this is one thing that really clicked so far that all of them have individuality and self sufficient koi ek bhojh utha ke nahi bhaitha baaki nikamon ka

Lol she’s a little too invested in her show. 🤣 sonakshi is a little too obsessed with her show but it was funny and kinda cute too sonakshi seems like certain stars who can't just stop being apne moonh mian mithoo and think they are doing the best work and are part of best show on planet earth. TBH kaafi real actors/actresses ki yaad dilati hai sonakshi mujhe and that is a win for them as it is too close to reality

Yup very Classy and actually feels more like a real house/mansion then cardboard ghar/walls. Looks expensive and upper class residential building without being tacky OTT or fake. also liek the way they have been shooting in different angles and actually give youa wide view of set instead of the same 2 angles other shows sue or same sofa jispe bhaith ke saara show chalta hai. i really enjoy the camera work too of the entire show

Utter piece of Garbage he was and I said Alhamdulliah and ThankGod for saving sonakshi from that disgrace in name of mankind. unfortunately such garbage people actually exist *Sigh* and not everyone gets lucky like sonakshi to be saved from such jahanum of a life ahead. i understand sonakshi's love was genuine she invested too much in the relationship and it still hurts her too but all that aside she should be very thankful that Upparwala saved her from throwing herself into a shithole. just one glimpse of this karan and it is enough to tell any sane person that stay as far as possible he really isn't worth anything. sonakshi aise hi apne khoon or dil jala rahi hai iske liye she is better off being single . *jhalli ladki* she almost seems so helpless when it comes to her emotionsin regards to this guy but she needs to shake it off and just thank God. I really like the way she walked away after the whole scene though with the VO from accident night that scene was very nicely shot and added so much mystery also seeing a hollow sona at that moment made me fel bad for her

I missed Rohit’s mom today. Her scenes are always sweet. Me too

Does the show air in the mornings? I thought the show timing is 9 PM IST. No?

Haha! Hotstar gives away the show at 7 am if you're a subscriber (ie you paid for a VIP subscription)😆
