Vijay did it better. He has that natural swag going on. Shahid tried hard.

Shahid didn't fit in college scenes, where swag is needed but in emotional scenes, he was good.
I felt, hindi version has better visual quality. Bollywood glammed it up but Telugu version is raw.
Found Vijay better, frankly hated that I watched this movie in hindi too. Liked neither the original nor the remake.
Can't believe they made the slap scene worse in the remake.
Rich when people who watch Bollywood have the audacity to call SI stars ugly. 'Most of the stars there' it seems. Pathetic. Bollywood isn't some national treasure that cant be criticized.Originally posted by: Real.Madrid
Lol because Telugu industry has really high standards? Vijay is ugly af and so are most of the stars there. Just a selected few actresses look okay. And most of the movies are same old, the reason behind Kabir Singh's success is the music, storyline and Shahid. Viewers were longing for an intense love story with big stars, it has been a while so everyone went to watch it. Nobody knows the director here so he is only a minor factor, get that through your thick Telugu skull.
No offense to the other South members here. But I am tired of people bringing Bollywood down 24/7 while being on a BOLLYWOOD forum.

People stopped using the word swag in 2009 lol....the fact that you used that to describe Vijay 🤣
I liked Vijay slightly better overall...shahid was excellent and on par with Vijay in the second half emotional/ heartbreak sequences
But I feel Vijay was better in the first half college stuff ....maybe it’s the fact that Vijay looks more like a college student than shahid (he was in his mid 20s during Arjun reddy) ....and his “attitude” looked more natural...he got that alpha body language down to the point ..he actually looked like the guy who could intimidate the shit out of everyone in college....
But I think shahid did a wonderful job in the second half...his emotional scenes were very powerful...
Lol at the broad misinformed statements like *ugly south actors*.....rehene de Bhai...

Bollywood is only profitable currently because they are copying all the work from the south, the biggest hit in the Hindi belt is baahubali, and yet people have the audacity to be condescending towards south cinema and their actors!
Vijay actually looked innocent, he had innocence in his eyes, that’s why it was easy to forgive his character, shahid on the other hand acted like an over grown man child
Tbh I have only watched AR but I have a hard time imagining anyone doing better than Vijay. Whilst his character itself is morally questionable, I couldn't find any flaw in Vijay's acting.
