The history in my own country relative to art (movies, books, paintings, architecture etc.) made me well aware what propaganda means in art.
I really love your take about awareness (which may only be possible when keeping the own mind alert and not brainwashed/manipulated. I've watched Leni Riefenstahl's movies - what an extremely skilled woman to use the 'power of images'. Labeling her movies only as 'propaganda' is too easy... like Dhurandhar, they go beyond simple 'propaganda', so I don't label them as propaganda-movies. They belong to the heart-felt glorifying with an obvious sincerity of thinking what ones shows.
