Director Sandeep has already claimed in his interview that Arjun Kapoor was never his choice but Arjun's papa Boney Kapoor was actually recommending the producers to cast Arjun as the lead.😵 I'm so glad that the nepo power didn't work out and Sandeep was already in talks with Shahid beforehand. Indeed Sandeep has chosen the perfect protagonist for this role.

Yes, through his equation with the producers (who also produced Mubarakan) he tried hard to replace the director with Amit Sharma. But the producers stuck to Sandeep.

Arjun's inability to lose those pounds is severely hampering his career. You can get away with not looking "fit" only if you have brilliant acting chops to make up for it. He is no Vidya Balan to have meaty "acting oriented" roles written specifically keeping him in mind.

It is also strange how all these transformation pics from the gym have come after the Panipat shoot is almost over (face looks as bloated as ever though). So, I guess it is safe to assume he is going to be his usual flabby self in Panipat?

He works more at projecting on his social media accounts than showing any results IRL.

Going by the stories people have related here....thank God director Sandeep Reddy put his foot down. And ballls to Arjun and his father Boney for trying to scavenge using their money and setting power.

this is fake news, arjun wanted to do the role very badly as he thought this film might re-surrect his career but the director wasn't happy with him since day 1. he had heated arguments with him on alcohol, his weight and other mood swing issues..ultimately he put his foot down and asked for a replacement.

arjun was rejected by the director..he already commited to shahid..and seems he wasn't even a little bit impressed with arjun's acting or lack of..also he wanted him to lose 20 kgs to suit the part..Glad he stuck with shahid..i doubt the movie would have won any praise and BO if arjun was there..the guy cannot act for peanuts and is a torture to bear on screen..the producer must be thanking the director for sticking with shahid now..and rejected that useless piece of trash
