Arjun would have ruined it he has no expressions. Shahid is perfect for this film

Thank god for that. I don't think so he can match upto Shahid going by KS trailer & Arjun's recent acting.

Shahid is better than Arjun kapoor but Vijay devarakonda nailed it in original make.

Whatever happens, happens for the best. He lost his ishaqzaade wala charm somewhere during his motapa.

But weren’t there reports that arjun wanted to do this role very badly and the director put his foot down and told him to loose 20 kgs ya phir chalta bane..n this got arjun fuming n he tried to sack the director but was shown the door himself?

Thats not true. The director wanted to leave the project when the producers wanted to cast Arjun. Then the director openly stated Arjun needs to lose 20 kgs if he wants to play the character. Also stated how his father had flown down to convince him to do the movie with Arjun but he had already commited to Shahid and he can't go back on his words. I guess Arjun did not want to lose weight , maybe because of Panipat where he had to bulk up. I don't know if he left or the producers finally gave in to the director.

I read it somewhere even Bhusan Kumar ( tseries) had Shahid in mind from the beginning and he was the one to arrange the meeting between Shahid and Sandeep. Glad that it worked out all so well.

Shahid deserves the project more then Arjun.
