Hi, all. I have been just watching and stalking the forum as I have become busy with my MBA. But yesterday's episode made me notice a loophole in the story about which I couldn't resist from commenting.

When Meeta tells her story to Babita and Minnie, she tells them that she met Ashok while working as a bartender but in the initial episodes, she mentions and keeps blackmailing Ashok that she's his business partner and would just leave him taking all her shares, etc.

Did anyone get any logical connection between the two?

I could bet that this is the worst executed track in PB or even ITv for that matter. Nothing seemed natural. Even the actors couldn't save the grace of the writers by making the audience oversee the latter's error.

Babita's confrontation with Ashok was also so over the top. If Ashok is that malicious and abusive that they wanted to portray, why was he just listening to her lecture? I would be more convinced if he had hurt or at least tried to hurt Babita physically. That would have been more natural to look at.

HS 😍😍😍my jaan is the best thing about PB..... Loved his little convo with Minnie đŸ„°đŸ„°đŸ„°đŸ„°.

I guess she would have left her bar tender job and maybe later supported him as a partner in the business....

May be but partner should also invest some money into the business. But Meeta said that she was working very hard to make ends meet and from where did a bartender get money to become a business partner?

Oh LOL. Just posted something quite contrasting to this.

I didn't find it OTT. It was emoted quite well.

Ashok felt sidelined when everyone in the house thought him to be a monster. He did try to hit Babita but when Biji shouted, he felt probably the limit had been pushed. So he felt it was better to leave than creating a scene. And maybe Babita's confidence hit his, real hard.

Ashok was never this but maybe the family's financial pressure, Babita's prosperity and his own troubles hit his ego so hard that he has become this monster. I don't feel it to be unreasonable.

Maybe over the years she made small investments, saved money and then became partner in his business.

It's almost 10 years after all. Anyone can snowball into someone big by small steps.

Exactly! All of her savings would have been invested in the business...Like you said, small footsteps always leads to a bigger step....

There are quite a few disjointed scenes/dialogues recently I think. Editing is super bad since last week. I don't know if Sony cut those scenes off or it was the PH.

Yeah but she also had “savings” to put towards the business in India and “savings” when the police seized all of the assets and bank accounts and they had no money. The fact is there is inconsistencies in the story. How they initially portayed her and her life in London (rich, a bit spoilt, a business partner to ashok, strong minded etc) is not how they’re portraying her now (weak, struggling to make ends meat, spent most of her life alone, and to have made bad life choices). She’s turned out to be even more of a shrinking violent that babita initially was (and that’s saying a lot).

Also the change in ashok since returning to India is astounding! One wonders how he managed to keep this side of him away from meeta for 10 years (as if that’s possible!). In the last two weeks there’s been a crazy shift in the characters. Meetas exist seems to be badly written and rushed. A part of me thinks that they wanted to give her a disgraced exit since it seems she herself was shocked by the exit and has been quite vocal on how she was promised a different storyline when she agreed to be part of the show.

undoutedly HS is the best thing.....😃

i agree with all the other things you pointed out , it was whole journey of meeta from bar tender's job to becoming business partner of ashok which was skipped hence did not made sense .

since meeta character is just a liability now so they didn't show many important details thus making it unrealistic for the characters .

if ashok had been of such mentality then how he bear meeta with her past for so long . & babita's reaction , i felt it would hv been better if she had been cold yet interested , body language controlled but eyes wished to know whole truth . expressions none yet eyes taking all the words & pain of victim thus correcting her knowledge about the other women .

what they showed today between babita meeta minni was understandable , babita doesn't like meeta minni bonding over anything but constantly making it through her expressions is 😒 , she totally forgot the sessions with psychologist over minni's problems .

if it is going to be this way , i don't have much hope .

Exactly, at the beginning it seemed Meeta had lots of money but now she is shown as an ex- bartender which is usually a minimum wage job . They have messed Meeta story by bringing in her pregnancy .
