Budget is 150 cr. And for a superstar box office numbers matter the most. Music...satellite rights etc are a way to hedge your bets. Public is awed by big BO numbers not by recovery of investment that's all.

The reason why I have been predicting for so many years is because for every wrong prediction, there has been a right one: Cocktail, Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom 3, PK, Dangal, PRDP, Raees, Tiger Zinda Hai, Thugs of Hindostan, etc.

Regarding Bharat, I'm happy with the prediction. I predicted 176 crore nett lifetime and Average verdict, whereas BOI (the site's numbers that I follow) will have lifetime collections for Bharat around the 195-200 crore nett range, and Semi Hit/Hit verdict. It's close!

Don’t listen to the nay sayers 😊

Lifetime predictions can go wrong because WOM can take the film anywhere and there's not any way to know it before the release, but opening prediction should be accurate for someone claiming to be a box office predictor.

What went wrong is the first day estimate. I had never imagined an A rated movie opening to 20 crores (in fact, I thought it would be less than 10 crores). I said the same in review thread. It must be the first Bollywood A rated movie with a first day collection like this. Bobby (or analyst) is bound to go wrong. This was not predicted.

Satyameva Jayate was A rated and opened at 19 Crores, bigger than Padmaavat.

🤣I agree! When I saw comments on the forum regarding the buzz for films such as Zero, Simmba, Bharat, and their respective box office results, I felt "okay, maybe this works"

Boy was I wrong!
