Do you think Kabir Singh movie would get appreciated this much had Shahid not been in this and they would take Arjun Kapoor instead? No it wouldn't. An appropriate actor is always needed to bring out the best of a well written script. I can bet on anything that people have been going to watch the movie mainly for Shahid as he has been getting good receptions since ever the trailer is out. His acting is always appreciated but all he needed was a good script which he has gotten. Overall it's time to stop calling him as not bankable.

Shahid is nice actor n u can't deny director given him new life as solo hero ,increased his stature n d man behind it is d director sandeep reddy vanga becos of his script n presentation .

Of course the director has a huge contribution to retrieve Shahid's career as he was being ignored in BW since a long time, but my above comment is not about that. In my above comment I have given the movie's success credit equally to both the the director and the lead actor coz without them together its opening couldn't be so big.
Noone knows his director's name compared to hirani, rohit shetty, kjo , slb, ditya chopra , zoya who are like brands.
Director did amazing i agree but it was sold on shahid's name. Give credit to him bcoz he deserves it. Already some people like to take credit from him in some movies.
But with this movie he proved he can do amazing if he gets opportunities like others or author backed roles
