The victorious Indian team leaves for Delhi after having touched down at Mumbai this morning.

The battle has been won and the warriors are back.

NDTV got exclusive access to the Indian cricket team on their flight from Melbourne to Mumbai.

The exhausted players were catching up on some much needed sleep, after a grueling 84-day tour Down Under.

The Indian team was accorded little chance of winning the Commonwealth Bank Series. Australia was the bookies' favourite for winning in the second final in Brisbane.

The new-age Indian team proved most pundits wrong, wrapping-up the series with a comfortable 2-0.

A lot of credit has rightfully gone to Captain M S Dhoni, considering his fearless team selection and the immense faith he displayed in the young side.

No victory procession

Meanwhile, retracting on its promise of an open bus welcome to the victorious Indian team, the BCCI has now decided that there won't be a victory procession at all.

A ceremony will be held in honour of the Commonwealth Bank series winners at the Ferozshah Kotla ground in Delhi.

The change in plan owes to the fact that the players are apparently too tired and hence the Board wants to avoid any chaos that might be caused by the motorcade.

They deserve it all! But one thing I really hate and pissed me off real bad is tht if they have a loss. OMG! Then all the people burn their posters and all! Wth? I mean thts heights! And whn they win there is like no end to the celebrations! I think the ppl should understand losing is a part of the game and not get soo mad at the team. Its never like they chose to lose! If the hve a loss they make sure tht they win like the next 3 or 4 games! 😳
Anyways LOL. This is kinda not so related! But India Team= Team Number 1. They surely knw wat is Team spirit! Unlike ahem ahem!
