Initially when Babitha and Ashok got divorced , Mita Ashok were shown as loving understanding couple .. He tried to pacify Mita and showed love whenever she was tensed and upset .. But with recent drama , I feel like they just changed Ashok to be wicked & Male Chauvinist , if it was the old Ashok he would have tried to pacify Mita in his usual way , dont know why CV’s are not going that angle .. I feel they just changed the story line to Address women empowerment rather than showing single Mother Babitha and Minnie’s Journey...

Ashok has always been a jerk. Before the divorce when Babita went to the Khuranas(when babita was still his wife) to make dadaji understand, Ashok compared Babita with Mita and told Babita that he loves Mita because she left her parents for him. And in the first wedding night after marrying Mita, he compared mita with Babita and told her that it was different with Babita because he's never touchd Babita before marriage. Ashok used to pacify Mita when she was not his wife, and now that they've gotten married he thinks he is entitled to do anything as she has become his wife. Relationship between Ashok and Mita has not been good after the divorce. It has become worse after the pregnancy. I don't see anything recent in it. He doesn't respect the woman he's married to.

Actually it is not that she did not want to play the mother's role. She was the happiest to do it. She just didn't like how Mita was turning into a coward. Initially, she was an extremely independent and a successful woman. But with the recent turn of events she started fearing Ashok. Imagine, Mita is taking suggestions from Mini regarding her marriage life. This is not how it was supposed to be. She was an independent woman, but she is being portrayed as a woman who is afraid of her husband no matter what. Hence she feels that she is not comfortable with the current track. Not that she is a mother....

Yes, perhaps the CVs fell into the usual trap of glorifying the female leads at the expense of a proper arc for the other woman. Hunar was doing a great job, what a shame.

They changed the actress playing Lovely too a while ago, but that character has far less impact than Meeta on the storyline and on me, so I didn't care too much.

The unique thing in this serial is the characters...Though we are seeing Patiala Babes journey each and every character is well shaped around them..Neither they have portrayed as so good nor so bad.. Everyone have positive and negative... That's what we in real..

Babita is good at heart, innocent but she can't handle the outer world, make decisions and confined within her shell ,now she is learning to overcome all..Mini, mature than her age and sometimes behave rudely with elders but supportive to her Mom... Perfect example for teenage character...Though we have not seen but HS himself told how he was in the past and how he changed now..

With Khuranas we have seen more of selfish and little affection towards their DIL..But this affection is nothing in front of their Son..May be khatri is the one who is not shown any good qualities..And now Ashok is also in that list..

I personally don't want any villain type character in Ashok..CVs should teach a lesson for people like Ashok through his character...

Sometimes I feel Khatri is better than Ashok. Even he was appalled at what happened in court.

Ashok is a good example of men who seem to come from decent families but are rotten inside.

I would love to see some flashbacks of Imarti and how HS was with her, though his vivid descriptions of her and their anecdotes have already painted a good picture. Also of him as a kid and spending time with his grandfather.

I also feel that Ashoks character has been changed to be more nasty and evil.

They are showing how someone smart and independent like Mita can fall victim and be in an abusive relationship. They have been showing this for a while..she is isolated from her loved ones, constantly degraded and disrespected. I am glad she is leaving Ashok ..most women don’t for years and years and some end up dying. However I wish that they didn’t axe her character so abruptly

Looking at the disconnect between scenes and even some episodes, I think the storyline has been modified. Good or bad, only time will tell.

Exactly!! It was actually unnecessary to show such a track. This episode was way too heavy. I feel, they could have shown a better way of this particular type of scene. Rather than man handling, abusing. I dont think such scenes should be shown on national television considering the fact that there are many fragile minded people. There are better ways to spread awareness about such a sensitive topic. Because Ashok, the character is going to be cursed by millions of people who watch the show. For some reason I cannot approve what has been shown in today's episode. I feel this is actually totally inappropriate on national television. This is totally my view, it may vary with respect to opinions....
