Ouch, it hurt. 😆 Good one though.
I am a DP fan but I am a twisted one, who doesn't feel like kissing the grounds she walks on. I like some of her qualities , which are worth looking upto and hate her in some instances. It's funny i am being judged just because I don't follow a specific pattern.

There is a dearth of good scripts in bollywood period. It is not the married actress only even the unmarried ones are struggling for good roles and good movies.
Seems like , Alia is the only lucky one.
this is just a random thought
i think this reflects society ...
its attitude u see in real life...once a girl is married husband is everything .she is treated differently. even friends talk with caution. she has to maintain a certain profile.
boys on the other hand even after marriage act as casanova...showing off..trying to impress girls...flirting
now things have changed and we are talking about modern mindset in bollywood
but maybe this mindset is there in audience and producers ...maybe they think a married girl is no longer appealing ..while 55 year old men are still likable
now another issue is that industry is men driven anyway ...
but even if u factor that - a young unmarried kamsin kali is likely to appeal more than a married woman. lukkhas and laundas look for love in them...middle aged married fat bellies look for extra marital affairs...and tharki bhuddas dont mind item numbers
so this could be the reason of career ending once an actress is married.
career is definitely not the same post marriage if it does not end
Are we supposed to believe 83 is an award winning role?
one thing i forgot is difference in attitude of girls vs boys
boys support their bhuddas....fine their will be support and fight between types of bhuddas...some will support salman...some shahrukh..some akshay or ajay but they will go and watch movies of bhuddas.
girls unfortunately do not support even their 30s actresses lol
even girls are more interested in bhudda men than married actresses
its a one way traffic ...all roads lead to men...they drive box office.
its kindda like why women cricket does not get response? because boys dont watch it...girls dont care. both however are gaga over men team
now in this environment..where even girls are not supporting ..how they heck a married actress suppose to get traction.
yes u can give some rare examples but that is still not norm
i guess no one does this as discrimination.. it is just the mindset of desis.
These actresses only want to work with top actors or top directors, they are scared to work with first time producers and directors. Great job on Vidya Balan for choosing small budget movies, they make a great story

You put it really well. But I must be the exception, who doesn't fawn over cricketers. I don't really watch any oldies movies in theater unless my brother drags me to theatre. I don't even watch my fav's movie in theatre as I wait for some sites to upload it.
If women go out of their way to watch movies in theatres then maybe film industry will try making movies for us.

And these filmmakers get B list actresses like tapsee bhumi fo 50lakh to one crore salary. And script is good movie will become hit. No point in paying high salaries of actresses like deepika kat kangana etc
this is so true. I remember during Indian idol, judges were discussing why menwon the seasons all the time. N the reason came out to be that mostly girl's watch these shows n they all vote for the guys. N the lesser percent of boys that watch vote for boys too.Originally posted by: HummingBird12
