StarPlus’s tagline is ‘Rishta Wahi Baat Nahi! since May 2018! They ditched Nayi Soch way back last year after a slew of such shows flopped. It is not STAR Plus anymore, it is StarPlus now!
Another thing that amuses me is that fans of every damn show keep bragging about their show being ‘progressive’! 🤣 Even fans of some outright Saas Bahu shows! 😝

Everest, POW, Manmarziyan, Ekyawan, Rishtoh Ka Chakravyuh, Dil Sambhal Ja Zara are some of the flops. I have not watched any of the mentioned shows. So I really don’t know if they had any Nayi Soch. I heard a lot of good things about Everest and POW though.
Come to think of it, I guess even Manmarziyan dealt with not getting married just because you are of age. I guess it was something about women following their dreams without being burdened by pressure from family to get married. Isn’t this show having a similar outline?

I watched Everest which story was A girl who's father was never like her because he wants son to make him Army Officer like him but he got a daughter and believed a girl never be a Army person. so she always craved for her father's love but never get it.. so oneday her mother told her the real reason so she decided to go for Everest and make her father proud to have a daughter and get his love back for her.. So this was the story and in whole Everst journey girl got her real love.
Though for me the story was not so impressive but it was limited episodes which was free from all melodrama, rona-dhona, multiple rishta engagement shaadi, mahanta, being perfect bahu-beta, planning plotting etc. 😆 it was completely youth oriented show with awesomely showing the Everest journey which looked like totally real.. Even more than main hero-heroin love story i liked the other supporting pair's love-story whom had more depth story than the real leads 😆

Now Rhys seems like a progressive storyline. Don’t know about screenplay though. No shaadis is a big yes for me to tick the progressive box! 🤣
Like shaadi is too overrated in ITV. Shaadi tracks get a lot of TRP so makers just add a lot of drama, fancy costumes, tonnes of makeup and jewellery. Eghhh....
