Listen to the original and then the bollywood versions... He says he inspires from them(he acknowledges only when he is caught - so far only Woh Lamhe & Life in a metro - he agreed he took lifted extensively!!!), but when you listen to the songs its just plain outrageous plagiarism. The day copyright acts evolve In India - those 'so-called' artists are going down the drains...

I am a person who appreciates Art - but not when its stolen - that is why today Bollywood has 1 0r 2 quality movies per year out of all those thousands movies releasing - Its such a shame

Most of 90s and 2000s songs in bollywood are copies from outside countries, not original from bollywood, don't be surprised, actually not only in the songs which used in films, even the video clips from albums for some are chori from some other countries 😆

I heard most of these original numbers, not only Pritam, even Anu malik do it f.ex, Kaho Na Kaho, from film Murder which is originally is a song by ''Amr Deaab'' an arabic singer's song ''Tamale Maak'' and many others do it too....

Tere liye from Veer-Zaara is an original indian song, it has been composed for almost more than 50 years ago, I think the united health care might used it as a back ground maybe, coz I heard about it....

Yash Chopra the producer of the film him self talked about this incident, even if u hear the original cd of the films, there were some songs which were composed earlier too....

The late Madan, I don't remember his full name composed the songs as I heard....

U have to watch the filmfare award at the time this film got awards....

I agree that bollywood do steal some songs, but even some other countries do use the rythem from original indian songs to many of their programs and music too, I heard it too....

They even use it sometimes as background music....

RD Burman and AR Rehman..originals? 😆 They have blatantly copied music.

Why them even before them in 30s and 40s and so on plagiarism was always a part of our music industry. Even SD Burman and Salil Chaudhary are not immune. These days it comes out because of powerful medium like internet but that doesn't negate the fact that plagiarism has always existed in Bollywood and hardly any music director is immune to it.

What I cant understand is why there not stringent copyright acts that prevent them from doing so... I know Pakistan Law on copyright is very frail which enables others to steal without facing the consequences but what about artist from China, France, UK, USA, Indonesia... Is there no watchdog?!

I know most Indian composers nowadays are blatant plagiarist but come on, this is ridiculous at least acknowledge the source - they try to pass it as their own - and then they get awards (bullsh**! man) no wonder why at every corner of the street crappy singers and artists are becoming overnight stars... Coz the audience itself has gone dumb, bilnd & deaf...
