Picture this, a prim and proper "lady" in an elegant sari - not a hair out of place - driving her stiletto into the hand of a man squirming in pain at her feet, while she looks down at him and his pain with contempt and vindictictive satisfaction. Did this scene give me chills? It did.
Did the fact the lady was so prim and proper add to the effectiveness of the scene? It did.
Kudos to the makers for deciding on the traditional and elegant sari look for Jahnvi Mittal.
After Wednesday's scene where she declared she was "The Jahnvi Mittal" I think this look is her personal preference. She is a modern girl and I don't think the Mittal family would object to her wearing indo western attires like Ishani and Sonali. I think she likes the image she has created and chooses Jahnvi Mittal to look royal and elegant at all times.
Of course, I may be wrong. 😆
I would love more insight into Jahnvi's psyche; how difficult/easy it to live this false identity she created, how similar/dissimilar is Pooja to Jahnvi? Apart from the revenge motive and being a high society bahu, was the identity of Jahnvi something she always aspired to be? So much to know.
I know i am reading way too much into this and I will never get answers given the flip flop writing of the show. Just eager to know more about Jahnvi as a character apart from the revenge aspect.
