I wonder if all IT people suffer from insomnia??? ๐Ÿ˜• I was talking one of my colleagues today and he was supposed to go out of station today with his parents... He just came to office to collect some of the codes, so he can work at the night ๐Ÿ˜†

He said he cant sleep before 2 in the night so he can work from home... I almost have the same problem... I work late night and cant sleep before one or two... This is the case with most of my colleagues and also know few of them personally and also some examples in our forum who suffer from the same disease ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜†

Why do you think all IT people suffer from Insomnia??
Is there any solution?? ๐Ÿ˜†

Anuuuuuuuuuu ๐Ÿ˜†

Not insomnia but you could call that more as work alcoholicism. ๐Ÿ˜†

Solution - Well sorry to say NOPE. Atleast I don't see any for me. Even I make sure to take my laptop and wireless connection when I go on vacation so that at night I can sit down and work to pass my time. ๐Ÿ˜†

Some people wake up early and are at work at 5:30AM, coding left and right lolss.. getting up early is not harmfull perhaps not of a concern. Before IT too best time can focus/conc on work was late nights...guess nothing related to as such IT, as you mentioned IFer's too..

Solution thats very simple, sleep early and wake up late...or catch up sleep at work ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

No i will not include those IFians inside this category because they never sleep... ๐Ÿ˜†

But Raj that isnt a solution... An IT person works day and night and maybe hardly sleep for 2-3 hrs a day and at work they compensate it with coffee or tea... You have vending machine on each floor so you can serve yourself.. ๐Ÿ˜† and we have music to relax ourselves.. so no question of sleeping at the office!!

I seriously think IT people get very less sleep than the night watchman..

IT people are actually addicted to their PC/Laptops even though they think they are addicted to tea coffee. ๐Ÿ˜†

I wouldnt term people as workaholic... It is something extreme to it otherwise one cannot work 24*7 ๐Ÿ˜†

And eventually will get lesser salaries too then N Watchman ๐Ÿ˜† no I will not generalize just on ITians, it might be true for workoholics as BB mentioned, that can be irrespective of service Industry. Yeah, may be the on-shore n off-shore model can be held responsible to some extend but then that is work not a bemari ๐Ÿ˜†... IFer's are beyond that category, true ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

Anu, I am not an IT person and I have great problems sleeping ๐Ÿ˜† and usually it's because I have work on mind - a lesson plan, correction, exam...

I guess it's not having the ability to switch off. ๐Ÿ˜Š
