What’s with this IT raid plot point?

The precap showed an IT raid at the maheshwaris and the officials questioning them about the pearl necklace. They can always say the truth that it was a gift from meenu, right? Also, will they question for every such trivial item? And how come mishti didn’t return it when she returned all jewelry through Ketki?

Is the raid introduced just to create a misunderstanding between Abir and mishti or does it serve any other purpose in the story too?

Just speculating here based on precap...what do you guys think?

I think Meenakshi fixed this raid. She has done it intentionally to take revenge I assume ( though I wouldn't want the revenge mentality to be channelled in this show since it's different) . Also, if I ponder upon it, remember the scene before engagement when Nidhi broke the necklace and Meenakshi got it remade? There was a smirk on Meenakshi's face in that scene. It could have been plan C of Meenakshi's attempt to break the engagement. God knows what's the plan.

Also, I guess while gifting the necklace to Mishti, Meenakshi must have given the receipt to them too , just like Kunal does so that she can exchange it if she wants to. I guess the Maheshwaris must have lost it. And hence, the problem. I have no idea why Mishti didn’t return it. Will get to know next week.

It'll be kind of silly if she forgets it. Anyway, if this furthers the plot then we can forget the silliness of it.

Lol, she never realises that the more problems she creates for the Maheshwaris, the more her sons get themselves indulged in solving them. It's like she is giving tension to her own kin. Why is your namesake such a fail with her plans? I hope her plans reach a better succes rate with time lol so that later when she has realisation of her mistakes, she can use her plans in a good light for the actual betterment of Rajvansh parivaar.
