Why the name DivyaDrishti?

I have always been attracted to the less perfect lead in the serial that is why I connect to Divya more that Drishti so I am pretty disappointed. I have nothing against Drishti. I had wanted to make this post for a while but I did not want to give any wrong impression of sending hate to any character but I needed to get this off my chest.

I have been wondering for a long time why have the creatives, director, producer or whoevers job it is name the show DivyaDrishti.

In the promos I remember them showing thaat Drishti can see the future and Divya can change it. They seem to be a balance of powers between them. Their powers seem to be completed with each other because without Divya, Drishti might just see the future and helplessly wait and without Drishti, Divya might not know in time what is going to go wrong.

However, with each and every episode I see more and more disappointment fills me as it is mostly about how is Drishti going to save everything. Divya whose name makes half the shows name is made either to look like a side character or a villain.

Morever, the creatives make it look like Divya's powers are nothing. The give Romi some magic bracelet. They bring Anjan who disappears from one place to another. They make it look like anyone can have magic or powers like Divya but no one can see the future like Drishti.

Lets leave all that for a minute. It is the creatives, writers, producers, actors, etc show let the do what they want, they are the ones to earn from it. Let them show whatever story they like. My problem is why name the show DivyaDrishti. For a minute i would have considered DivyaDrishti to mean divine sight as in Drishti's divya drishti but in that case why create a character with the name Divya, in order to fool and disappoint the audience.

I absolutely get where you are coming from for I cannot deny having felt the same. There had been a couple of times when I did feel that CVs are being unfair to Divya's character. Often, I have realised - this is not what I had signed up for. From promos, they made it seem to be a thrilling tale revolving around two sisters, and each would have an equal contribution in saving the world and each, incomplete without the other. However, as the show began, we got to know that there is this character of Guruji's vanshaj without whom sisters would not be able to save the world so it was obvious that his character would hold an importance as equal as these two but as the show progressed, it started seeming as if all about Drishti to me. Sure, I don't deny I adore Drishti and Rakshit and I don't mind their screen space but I do feel, Divya's character, as a side character very often. It is slowly becoming everything about how Drishti would make everything alright, how Drishti would save her sister, how Drishti would save everybody!

Although I m a sana sayyad and drishti fan, but I agree with you. Divya has her own character but divya and shikar are sidelined 🤔

divyadrishti has 2 meanings , first both lead's name divya & drishti , secondly divyadrishti means divine vision & this power belongs 2 drishti .

This serial is dedicated 2 lord shiv so dri has repilca of lord shiv's 3 eye only so her power is unique which cant be given 2 everyone . if u had heard last words of vidya 2 pischani there she warned pischani about lord shiv's 3 eye becoming reason of her death . in very first or launching promo of divyadrishti only dri was introduced with pischani , divya was intoduced later in 2 or 3 promo i guess , so dri is first lead & divya is second lead.

bold part : i dont agree with u that DD r helpless without eachother , yes their unity make them undefeated power but still they r powerful individually also , dri tries her best 2 stop d upcoming future which she already saw without dee & divya do alter things & save people without informed by dri . pi's fair storm & plane accident, ravan's engagement storm DD indirectly help each other without knowing other person power. so 4 me DD r not helpless individually.

divya's powers r manogami which work acc 2 person's will , that i person can move things without touching them i guess & divya had been assigned 2 alter d future accidents , so even her powers r unique

romi dont have such powers , he knew few magic tricks taught by chiru & he stopped divya' magic due 2 tabeez of guruji his powers r not like divya .

pi dont have powers like dee thats why she want dee's powers & even anjaan dont have powers like dee .

i agree makers had done injustice 2 dee's character , as her character is not develpoed d way actors told during press conference .

dee was always shown immature & impulsive but dee was fierce in nature, very sharp brain & strong willed person .

this whole dee obsessing over rakshit & divyachini track was never digested by me , how easily pi possessed dee , even started misusing dee's powers , whole DD unbreakable bond goes 4 a toss as divya was completely absent in d track . if kaalvijay is such powerful stone then how can pi control divya this easily .

show had been reduced into dri being only d saviour of everyone , which is definately a big disappoint ment coz story was about 2 sister then how can only dri will saviour of everyone .

not only dee but even it looks like makers r not intertested 2 developing shikhar's character . shivya's luvstory hold lot of potential

i really want dee's side of luv 4 her sister dri , shivya's story as i like all 4 leads

ek hazaro mai meri behna hai is only serial where both sister got equal importance without showing any luv triangle b/w sisters varna every serial show unnecassary sister rivarly .

i hope we fans make mukta aware we also want 2 see dee's journey & shivya story.

I absolutely agree that slowly Divya is being sidelined or should I say cvs are making her a scapegoat to flesh out Anjaan's character. Like for eg today she was unable to pull back the ambulance but in the past she could repair the dam, just because they had to show Anjaan doing it. Needless to say I didn't quite like it.

I've always maintained that out of the two sisters, Divya's powers are more absolute as the results are not dependent upon anything whereas with Drishti, though she can see the future it's not really necessary that it's going to happen because mostly they are based on choices. Change the choice, the future changes. She can't avert the future, only Divya can do that. Yet the makers have made a hash. Though Dri's new power is more absolute whereas by touching the forehead she comes to know the identity or whatever is going on in that person's head.

They need to properly develop everyone in a streamlined manner and that includes Shikhar too.

I agree with you that Divya Drishti can have two meanings. Infact I have mentioned the same in my main post. That is why I also asked why was Divya named as Divya if that was the case.

I agree that I also have seen other serials with sibling rivalry over a guy. One sister only bad qualities being highlighted and stuff like that. Ehmmbh was the only different one.

I don't have any idea which promo was first because I didn't watch the promos on tv. I had come across it while watching a video on youtube. It had been about Drishti seeing an accident and Divya stopping it.

I respect that you think Drishti is the first lead as the first promos were about her. But I don't agree with you, because if being first in the promos make Drishti the first lead. Then in the shows name Divya's name is first, so then she should be the first lead. Though, I don't think that is how things work. If the first promos were about Drishti then I think it is one of the good things the creatives did as the shows name starts with Divya and the shows promos start with Drishti that gave both the girls to become first in something, which is a good way to balance things. I wish the same balance would have been maintained in the show as well.

For me Divya and Drishti are equal to each. Like I said in the main post I like characters which are faulty. So of course I do like Divya Shikhar a bit more. Though this doesn't mean I have any negative feelings towards Drishti or Rakshit.

I just want all the leads to be given equal importance.

See that's the thing Divya is being treated like a side character. In many instances they are showing that her powers are not enough. I feel really bad for Divya.

I really wasn't sure at first if I should make a post. I have observed india forums for years and I have noticed in many other forums things can be taken in a wrong way. So I did not want that to happen here. Though am glad reading all the comments no one has taken any of my words in the wrong way and I really appreciate that.
