They're not. Its widely known that the big actors who star in them actually self produce them.

subscription and ads make money for web...netflix is not free like YT.

also the way big movies n big tv shows are flopping n the audiences prefer watching stuff more on their mobile phones..this trend is gaining popularity fast.
