How Are Web-Series Profitable?

There is a lot that is not known about how this works....I just dont understand how producers would make money from a web-series or web-movie? You still have to spend money to make it.....and if Netflix or another streaming provider pays for it- then how do they make money?

How does me watching a show earn them money? Who gives that money lol?

I just feel like its really shady and the success of these shows is just made up lol...there are probably a handful of people that actually watch it and because there is no PROOF everyone just goes crazy about it

I think Netflix kind of buys the show from the producers and that's how they get the money. If the show does well then Netflix pays money to producers to make new seasons 😕

AltBalaji, Netflix, Prime, Zee5, Hotstar, TVF etc through paid subscriptions.

YouTube etc through Ad. I believe you get paid depending on the number of subscribers on YouTube.

Don't you pay Netflix subscription fee? Or waste your time watching online ads?

If you read my post carefully you would see that the undertones suggest that I dont believe in that business model anyways

google pay here through adds... Like in yt ,jitne views utni time add visits..utni profit..

even in voot,hot star every thing provides adds also... Main income depends on adds... Moreover if that is paid subscription it also makes profit
