Hello all..
Why is this forum so quite?..i guess its because its just the start of the serial??
Anyway i just saw the first 2 epis of BP and felt like sharing my thoughts... this certainly is not a saas bahu drama nor is it a so called ITV 'thriller'.. from the 2 epis that aired so far, we cant really say what gener this really is... but one thing i can say is that it definitely is engaging and intriguing.... and there s a lot of scope in it , provided they handle the story well.
Coming to what i liked till now..
Raghbir Malhotra - EK mentioned that this is one of the best written male characters by them... but how can we trust her, knowing the kitchdi s they make isnt it?🤣.. but to my surprise her statement seems true this time (atleast so far).. .. Raghbir is a total package with so much depth in him and you feel like continuing to watch the serial unfold just to uncover all the layers and reach the deepest layer of his soul.
And what surprised me most is Pearl... he has really left me shocked with his performance.. i never thought that he could fit so well into this character even after seeing the promos, because frankly speaking i saw him first in Naagin 3 and i still remember that i didnt like his acting in the initial days... he was a real novice , and although he improved a lot later on, the story and character did not give him that much scope to perform.. especially towards the end of Naagin 3, Maahir seemed so meek and his character was just second fiddle to everything else.
So with Mahir, i wasnt able to see how far Pearl has come, and his acting here totally blew me away... every emotion , dialogue delivery , his stance everything was on point.
Ishita Dutta.. i liked her performance as well.. so far her character is shown to be a bit typical ... happy go lucky girl with a positive out look towards life with a single parent who is trying to marry her off... but i hope they introduce more depth into her character as well.. any way Ishita portrayed well whatever is required of her... she didnt overact which most of the heroines do in these types of characters.
And what i liked best about Ragbir and Pragati meeting is that there was no typical Dupatta flying and fall into each other s arms with a beautiful background score when they met.. instead it was very normal, a bit too normal may be ?
What i didnt like so far.... the story is too rushed at places.. especially when Sukanya was introduced.. she came to the party, sat and started crying and few people in the background passed some comments and immediately Raghbir confronted her and became defensive too quickly.. that was v unnatural.
Fast pace is good, but not at the expense of progression of emotions and characters... that looses touch with audience.
