She got scared Shraddha might get closer to Kaka or bag the Luv Ranjan movie. Because Kaka had said in interviews he finds Shraddha, Disha, Kriti attractive. Toh Kathputli will do anything to keep these three away from Kaka.
Shraddha was in talks with Luv Ranjan when the project was announced, Neetu was found liking Shraddha's posts during those days... Shraddha's fangirling over Kaka's performance was shown on IIFA around the same time. Then came the blinds, Kaka suggested Kathputli's name to Luv. You can guess what happened there.
Apparently black people were made to shave off their hair by their masters.
Even though slavery is gone, rascism exists. And people with Afro hair are considered uncultured and uncouth.
However white people wearing their hair in these style are considered trendy. So blacks take offense and refer to it as cultural appropriation.
Black girls straightening their hair, cultural appropriation hai ya nahin.
Straight hair has nothing to do with any culture. Culture appropriation is always when a dominant culture appropriates a minority in an area where minorities are still made fun or are at an disadvantage. Like noone makes fun of straight hair. It's a beauty standard of sorts. But when it comes to afros and dreads and nappy hair it's looked down upon or made fun of and at many places employers make sure potential employees can't wear their hair like that. So it's a cause of discrimination for black people but when white people or any other race do it for aesthetic it's considered trend. That's what makes something cultural appropriation.

Then isn't it good some non black people are adopting their hairdo... Culture is a mix of a thousand other cultures. Until we adopt elements from other cultures they will remain alien to us, and discrimination will continue.
Unless, someone is doing offensive stuff posing as black/Indian/Aisan/others cultural appropriation activists should stfu.
Like what Bebo and Ammu did during her 40th birthday wearing Native American headgear was offensive, they should be criticized for that. But if someone dresses up like an NA just for fun without giving any wrong impression about NA culture through their conduct while dressing up like them, I don't see any problem.

No idea. 🤷
I'm just aware of the frivolous stuff. 😬

Most of the time white people are doing pretty offensive stuff. Like noone says anything when a white woman wears a saree but dressing up as Kali to Halloween is offensive.
Black people are victimized for their hair, bullied, discriminated against by white people so when white people don the same things but face none of the racism black people do that's a major red flag. It's like taking their culture but without any of that racist attitudes black people have to face. So unless and until white people stop being racist they are not allowed to don or wear their culture as aesthetic that's the logic. Sharing it hasn't helped black people at all.
With indigenous cultures their approach is similar. They are a dying race, marred by a lot of white savior history. They are of the opinion that you cant support my causes you cant wear my culture. Their headgear and dress are a part of their identity. Like Kirpan for Sikhs. You can't wear the part of their identity as costumes.
Now respectfully some things are allowed. Like in the Caribbean they share their culture through dread hats and stuff which is commercialized and the profits go to the community.
In all, if you do nothing for my culture and community, you cant wear in as a costume. A good example of this is Chris Hemsworth. He wore a native American costume for a party realized his fault, went ahead and apologized and donated money for their causes.

Got the point that oppressors should not adopt the oppressed people's culture till they start treating them as their equal. But the point still remains...if there is no give and take between two cultures, kids growing up seeing a totally different culture of their neighbors will always feel superior to the neighbors.
Then there are these over the top armchair activists who even have problem with doning other culture's makeup style.
There is no superior and inferior between brown people and Asians, still I see brown people on the Internet accusing an Asian of cultural appropriation, or vice versa. Aise karoge toh racism kabhi khatam nahin honge.
