Inshallah rights sold for record amount (250cr)

When a film is announced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali that too starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt together it is bound to pique the interest of the entire industry as well as fans. That is exactly what happened when Inshallah was announced in March 2019.

The film, which marks the unbeatable combination of Salman Khan as lead actor for a Bhansali directorial, 20 years after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam has now another element to its credit. The domestic and overseas theatrical rights of the film have been bought for, hold your breath, a whopping Rs 250 crore by a new company.

While we can't unveil the name of the company that has bagged this prestigious project, we can safely say that this amount for worldwide theatrical rights of a Bollywood film, is unheard of.

Inshallah will be produced by SKF and Bhansali Productions. It is expected to hit theatres in Eid 2020.
