Hey guys! Although I love reading stories about my favorite characters this is the first time I am writing any fanfic so please bear with me. And yeah the thing is this OS is going to be from Sampada's POV.

Basking in the luminous light of the dusk, Sampada was moving around the room with Moksh in her arms. Malhar hadn't reached home yet and the duty of rocking Moksh to sleep had fallen into her head and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't really calm Moksh down. Even though it annoyed her much she even had tried Kalyani's lullaby but nothing seemed to work. Patience was never really her virtue so she did what she knew the best, she left Moksh in the crib with certain toys.
With the constant cries of a child lessened, she was free to move around and observe the room. This wasn't exactly her and Malhar's room. No, she wasn't saying this because she hadn't lived with Malhar in this room much but because she could find Kalyani's essence in the room.
This wasn't exactly how she had expected things to turn out. Running away with Atharva was always the plan but it had been a huge surprise when Malhar has married Kalyani, even if it was for revenge. Sampada knew Kalyani and Malhar considered her a villian of there life but in her mind she liked to think of herself as a victim of situations, even if it was just to ease the guilt of leaving her husband and her newly born child.
Sampada knew Malhar was a good man but she could not go to the society and say that she left such a devoted husband because she was in love with another man. So, she had choose the best option where she could play the victim and make her actions justifiable. One thing she regrets and probably will for the rest of her remaining life is the fact that she left her child, she should have just taken Moksh with her maybe then he would have loved her, recognized her as his mother. Sampada had always believed that blood relation is the thickest but now she has started questioning it, Moksh love Kalyani and vice versa and she just couldn't understand how.
Kalyani that girl was something else. She did not know what to make of her. One thing was sure Sampada was jealous of her especially her bond with Moksh and Malhar. With Moksh she could understand but Malhar, that girl would do anything for Malhar without even a single question. Sampada understood the relation based on love, but this respect, willingness to break yourself for another type of relationship went over her head. She sometimes wondered whether or not Atharva will do those things for her that Kalyani and Malhar are willing to do for each other and what scares her is that she doesn't know the answer to that.
With the thoughts suffocating her, Sampada decided to get out with Moksh and take in fresh air. Moksh was quite now, he was just playing with a toy ignorant of the world. In moments like this she admired her child the most maybe because she could see some facial similarities between them.
Taking Moksh with her, she got out of the room and started walking about in the porch. Sampada could see Kalyani sitting on the Deshmukh's side of the house doing her own things. Thank heavens Moksh had not noticed Kalyani otherwise he would start crying again until he was handed over to her.
Keeping this in mind, Sampada decided to return back to the premise of her the room. As she started moving towards the room, Anupriya calling out for Kalyani could be heard which grabbed Moksh attention and as she had predicted , the crying started.
In moments like this she wished that there were classes in school where they taught how to silence a crying kid but alas such courses did not exist and being a mother did not come naturally to her. Kalyani having heard Moksh's cries came over and asked for her Pillu and Sampada very reluctantly handed over Moksh to Kalyani.
Kalyani with Moksh in her arms started moving about the place while talking to him in baby voices and Sampada could hear sentences like "Pillu tu aajkal bohot badmash ho gaya he. Har bat pe rona dhona. Waise tune susu toh nahi kardina. Tujhe bukh toh nahi lagi." Moksh silencing to Kalyani's touch like that made her question her validation as a mother.
With a determination Sampada started moving over to Kalyani to take Moksh from her. Moksh was just lying in Kalyani's arms while listening to her talks. Even he in a while blabbered as if replying to Kalyani. In all this blabbering he said "Aai". And repeated it again as if testing it and then starting repeating the worl while constantly looking at Kalyani. Kalyani's blabbering stopped when he repeatedly started calling her "Aai".
You could see tears forming in the eyes of both the women. One's from complete happiness and just questioning her what had she gained when she seems to have lost everything.
