Kareena debuted on the same time as Bips, Esha, Amisha and Amrita Roa but all those actresses career went to the drain later while Kareena became one of the biggest superstar in India. She is still getting big budget movies but those actresses are not even getting any advertisement now. Amisha and Kareena were really considered competitors. They debuted on the same year. Kareena first got the offer of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai but it went to Amisha later and Amisha won the Zee Cine award with the best debut actress but few years later everything changed. Kareena's career started to rise and Amisha's career started to fall.

If only they cud get the amount of opportunities she got after their own duds and wonderful characters like Poo and Geet in well made films by talented directors like Imtiaz and big budget makers like KJo. Alas!

cud be but i believe AB jr has some gud natural talent which is seen in films like Guru, the only things he lack though r hard work and seriousness which HR has in plenty.

I believe Dev Anand and Kishore Kumar debuted around the same time but Kishore was never interested in acting but was dragged into it due to his big bro Ashok Kumar being hero. He slowly went onto pursue his passion singing and bcame one of the top 2 male superstar singers. Dev is a golden era superstar.

I can't believe some people really thought Kareena Bips were competitors. Maybe because of the fight during Ajnaabe time are still hunting some people when Kareena slapped Bips and called her kali billi. The truth is that Bips is not equal to Kareena's finger with acting and talent. One is still doing big budget movies and the other one only got condom ad like 2 years ago. One is treated like a devi in BW circle and the other one is kicked out from BW circle. Few days ago, the TM asked what happened to Bips and why she is not getting any work when Kareena is still getting work. Well the answer is simple now. They were never competitors.

If your point is, she's not done a Padmavat,or Piku..that's her choice..it's not that she wanted to do those kind of films and didn't get a chance because nobody wanted to cast her-she just had a different take/taste in films

Hey

Kareena is one of my favorite. I have been watching her since my childhood from KKKG to Jab We Met, I loved her roles. She was always this, heroine but her film choices were not so great then. She made some really Bad choices and delivered many Flops back to back. She admitted same when she came to Coffee with Karan. Yet she got recognized (yeah nepotism, but she is talented) and still get lead roles and is a bankable celebrity.

I love her acting. Although I disagree that if she was given opportunity, which I think she must be given considering her stay in Bollywood, she would not have done justice to roles of Padmavat or Piku or any other great movie. Kareena is good in chirpy kind of roles like Geet and Poo. In serious roles, I don't think she can do good. Anyway, yes Kareena is successful and is here to stay. (I dislike her ways of doing things😳, but that's something else😆)
