Will Alia qualify for National awards ???

Now that its established that she is a UK citizen, is she eligible for the National awards .

I am asking this since many are now questioning Akshay Kumar's National award for Rustom as its established that he is not a Indian citizen.

Many might question it but Akshay did win it so Alia too might while others continue to question it

I thought it was mostly because Priyadarshan was on the committee and he and Akshay are good friends.

National awards have always been biased to bollywood people that's the only possible reason I can given the kinds of Akshay winning it or alia in future.

For instance there was a beautiful Telugu off beat movie called c/o kancharapalem Last year which was disqualified for best movie only because one of the co-producer was a US citizen of Indian origin.

Like if they can award actors holding citizenship of other countries & so on but disqualifying a deserving movie having an out & out cast & crew consisting Indians just cos one co producer is now a US citizen shows how biased the jury is towards regional cinema who have better content to boast than these bollywood walas

What about all these Bollywood actors who get awarded by other countries and universities ?
