Chapter 33

Next morning AJ wakes up and sees guddan is sleeping. He kisses her forehead and realises she has fever.

AJ: guddan (patting her cheek) utho.

Guddan: kya hua late hogaya aapko. Sorry meri aankh he nahi khuli.

AJ: late nai hua hai. Tumhe itna bukhar kaise hua? Kal to sab theek tha?

Guddan: ye kuch bhi nahi hai. I will take medicine and I will be fine. Aap ready ho jao.

AJ: chup ho jao tum. Baitho yahan. Main aaj kahin nahi jaa raha hoon.

Guddan: akshat pleaseeee. Main breakfast k baad dawayi lungi and it will be fine.

Just then maa calls both of them downstairs.

AJ: haan maa kya hua😥😥

Maa: guddan tujhe kya hua hai, itni weak lag rahi hai?

Guddan: maa kuch bhi nahi, aap bataye aapne itni subah subah bulaya. Sab theek hai.

Maa: Shanti didi aarahi hai subah ki flight se.

Guddan: to koi baat nai hai. Aap pareshaan kyun ho rahe ho. Sab manage hojayega.

She goes to kitchen and AJ follows her.

AJ: maa ko to console kar liya tumne, par khud ki shakal dekho. Kaisa chehra banaya ha 😏😏

Guddan: I am fine and not at all worried. Aap hona mere saath. Bas utna he kaafi hai mere liye. Aur aap office jao. Bua ji kya sochengi?

AJ: kuch nahi sochengi. There is no way that i will leave you alone wo bhi tab jab tum itni beemar ho. Never.

Guddan: acha theek hai fresh to hojaye. Till then I will see the breakfast.

Guddan prepares the breakfast and sets the table and goes to freshen up. After sometime all are having breakfast.

Maa: nimi beta bua ji aa rahi hain. Maine bataya hai tum dono ko ki wo thodi strict hain. Lalla aur angad ko to sab pata he hai.

Nimi: maa kya humko saree main rehna hai unke saamne.

Angad: nope not at all. She is not the traditional types. But she thinks wo badi hain so things should happen according to her will and choice. That's it. Aur waise bhi bhai bua ji k favourite hain. So tum pe wo waise bhi zyada dhyan nahi denge.

Aarti: (from the door) kyaaaaaa😲😲. Bua ji aarahi hain. I am going back to camp.

AJ: Tu kab aayi (hugging her)

Aarti: abhi aayi bhaiya. Lekin i think I should go back. Aapko pata haina bua ji kitna pareshaan karti hai mujhe.

AJ: aisa kuch nahi hoga. Koi meri aaru ko pareshaan kare. Nope.

Aarti: bhaiya bas haan. Bua ji k saamne to you never say anything. Mujhe sab pata hai.

Guddan: baith ja aaram se kuch kha le pehle.

AJ: tum aao pehle. Main tumhe dawai deta hoon.

Gudsan: chaliye.

In the room he gives her medicine and makes her drink water.

AJ: (hugging her) tum theek hona.

Guddan: (rubbing his back) haan main bilkul theek hoon. In fact main aapse abhi bhi keh rahi hoon aap office chale jao.

Angad: (knocking at the door) main andar aajao.

Guddan: haan aaja.

Angad: aap aaj bhabhi k paas raho, maa bata rahi thi inki tabyat theek nahi hai. Aaj main office jata hoon.

Guddan: bilkul nahi angad, is waqt nimi ka bahut crucial stage hai. It's her 8 month.

Angad: bhabhi aap sab hona yahan aur waise bhi main bahut time se office nai gaya hoon. Let me go.

AJ: Tu sure hai you want to go. Nimisha se baat ki.

Angad: haan bhaiya.

AJ: theek hai jaa. Lekin kuch bhi hoga office main, do let me know.

Angad: ok byeee.

Guddan: kya akshat aap bhi. Chaliye ab mujhe tayar hona hai, bua ji aane wali hogi.

Just then nimi calls guddan and tells her to come down stairs as she can't understand what should she wear. Both AJ and guddan go down. AJ sits in Hall and guddan goes to nimisha. Aarti is also in the room.

Nimi: di dekho na mujhe kuch samjh he nai aaraha kya pehnu.

Guddan: aarti Tu batana bua ji ko kya pasand hai. What's her type?

Aarti: she has no type. Sab unke mood pe depend karta hai. She is A very moody person.

Guddan: nimi Tu is halat main Saree carry nahi kar payegi. I think you should wear something loose jaisa kurta koi acha sa.

Aarti: bhabhi ruko mai ne ek kurta order kiya tha but wo bahut zyada loose tha. I was thinking to return it. Aap try kar lo ek baar.

Guddan: leke aa zara. Nimi yaar main kya pehnu. Mujhe bahut tension ho rahi hai. Tune maa ko dekha na wo kitni pareshaan ho rahi hai.

Nimi: di baat to aap sahi kar rahe ho.

Aarti: nimi bhabhi zara try karo ye. It's floor length.

Guddan: nimi ye bahut acha lag raha hai tujhpe. Wait I have a matching dupatta with this. Main leke aati hoon.

AJ: kahan jaa rahi ho. Thoda sa aaram kar lo zara.

Guddan: aap ruko main abi aati hoon.

She comes rushing downstairs with the dupatta and twists her foot on the last stair but AJ catches her. She closes her eyes due to fear. AJ slowly removes the hair strand from her face and stares at her face. She opens her eyes slowly and gestures a sorry to him.

AJ: tumhara dhyan kahan hota hai. Tumhe pata bhi hai tumhe kitni lag jaati, if I wouldn't have caught you. Why can't you take care of yourself. Do you understand the fact how much you matter to me. As AJ is scolding her, guddan looks around in the Hall and sees no one is their. So she stands on her toes and cups his face and kisses him to make him quite.

Guddan: aap chup he nahi horahe thay, main kya karti.

AJ: (still shocked and feeling his lips) ye kya tha.

Guddan: kya?? Bataya to, aap bole he jaa rahe thay, main kya karti.

AJ: tumhe kahin chot to nahi lagi

Guddan: nahi bilkul nahi and goes to nimisha.

Aarti: bhabhi kitna time lagaya aapne.

Guddan: nimi zara dekh ye.

Aarti: perfect match. Bahut ache lag rahe ho aap bhabhi.

Guddan: chalo theek hai. Ab main tayar hoti hoon. I too have to decide what to wear.

She goes to her room and starts looking in her cupboard but cant decide what should she wear. So she calls AJ and he comes rushing to the room.

AJ: guddan kya hua tum theek hona. Itna kyun chillaya?

Guddan: main theek hoon mujhe kuch nahi samjh aaraha main kya pehnu.

AJ: kya tum bhi main itna darr gaya. Waise bhi maa bata rahi thi, bua ji ki flight late hogayi hai, so relax.

Guddan: sachiiii (and sits on the bed).

AJ: ab thoda rest karlo. Dawayi ka asr kaisa hoga agar tum rest nahi karogi. Please.

Guddan: I am fine sachiii, dekho aap fever hogaya na kam.

AJ: take rest thoda sa mere liye. What's the fun of me not going office then?

Guddan: bua ji k lunch ki tayari dekhni haina. Wo kaun karega?

AJ: abhi unke aane main time hai. Ek ghanta kam se kam rest kar lo. Kitni ziddi ho tum.

Guddan: acha theek hai. Dont make that puppy face.

He goes to bolt the door and lies down on the bed. She puts her head on his chest and he engulfs her in his embrace.

Guddan: please alarm lagana.

AJ: ok and kisses her forehead.

Meanwhile in Hall

Maa: aarti kahan jaa rahi hai?

Aarti: guddan bhabhi k paas. Dekhne what has she decided to wear.

Maa: koi zaroorat nai hai. Uski tabyat theek nahi hai aur lalla hai uske paas.

Aarti: ohhhhhh aaj bhai office nahi gaye hain?

Maa: nahi kaha na guddan beemar thi.

Aarti: ok.

In Akshan room

Guddan: (thinking) akshat se to keh diya ki all is ok. Lekin main kya karoon mujhe bahut gabrahat ho rahi hai. Darr lag raha hai. What if something wrong happens? Akshat se agar kuch bhi bola wo gussa karenge. I do trust him but i just can't explain what I am feeling right now. (With this thought she sleeps).

AJ: (thinking) main jaanta hoon guddan tum bahut pareshaan hoon aur mujhse kuch nahi keh rahi kyunki you think main gussa hojawunga. Mujhe pata hai tumhe is waqt kaisa mehsoos horaha hoga, lekin how do i make you understand what do you mean to me and that my life depends on you. ( With this thought he to sleeps and brings her closer to herself and she too tightens her hold on his shirt).
