Tamil actor-director Raghava Lawrence is all set to make his debut in Bollywood as a director with Kanchana Hindi remake starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead role. Reportedly, megastar Amitabh Bachchan might also be a part of the film. Read on.

Tamil actor-director Raghava Lawrence is all set to make his debut in Bollywood as a director with the remake of Kanchana. The makers of the film kick-started the shooting of the film recently with the lead actor Akshay Kumar while Kiara Advani joined the team just a day ago. Titled Laaxmi Bomb, Kanchana remake has been grabbing a lot of attention ever since makers of the film made an announcement on the same. Now according to the latest buzz, Amitabh Bachchan is said to be a part of the film and will be seen in a never seen character on the big screen.

According to a report in India Today, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan might be seen in an important role as a transgender. In the original Tamil version, Sarathkumar played the role of a transgender named Kanchana. However, no official confirmation regarding Big B’s role has been made yet. Kanchana Hindi remake is one of the much awaited films as Akshay Kumar is all set to return to the horror-comedy genre. The original Kanchana featured the protagonist possessed with three ghosts.

According to reports, in the Hindi remake, the sequence where Akshay Kumar's character is possessed by a ghost will be the turning point in the story and the scene will take place at Kiara's house in the film.

Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence who is recently basking in success with the release of Kanchana 3, is making a lot of changes to the script as per the taste of Bollywood audience.
