I don't think VJ's entry will increase TRPs, story is more important than actors. They have too many tracks running in parallel without proper focus on any of them. Anyways the twist isn't that Raghav returned it's that his character is gray/negative.

It's better if TRPs don't improve, this way they'll shut shop sooner.

Raghav isn't helping Chakor, he's lying to her to keep her with him and he's helping the foster mother to keep the mother daughter apart. He may even be drugging Chakor so that she doesn't regain her memory.

They have no conviction in their story, running too many half baked twists together.

Don't know if Raghav is pretending to be working with the foster mother or not, it doesn't matter, I just want VJ's stint to end soon.
