Shah Rukh Khan to play villain in Vijay Thalapathy's 63

While we're all aware of the fact that Shah Rukh Khan will be making his South debut with Atlee Kumar's Thalapathy 63 starring Vijay, we didn't have the details of his role in the film until now. While rumours suggest that he will only be seen in a cameo in the film, we hear it's going to be more than just that.

A leading daily got in touch with a source close to the film who revealed some details about his role in 63. The source said, "SRK has a prominent character that he's playing in Thalapathy 63. It's not like his other cameos. In fact, he is the main villain who comes in the picture only towards the climax. He has a good 15 minutes odd role, fighting Vijay. The makers wanted a leading face from the Hindi film industry to shoot for the role and when Atlee approached Shah Rukh for it, he agreed on principle to do it. It's a four-five day shoot and the team is figuring whether to film the scenes in Chennai or in Mumbai itself.

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan was spotted along with the director during an IPL game, speculations are rife that the star will collaborate soon on a Bollywood project as well. There are already reports doing rounds that Shah Rukh will feature in the Hindi remake of Mersal, which will be helmed by Atlee who also directed the original.

Swades was a flop, and Chak De wasn't an outright hit, Chak De became hit over time.

If Chak De released today, it would be considered a flop from first weekend if it didn't reach 50-60 crores.
