Surbhi Chandna starrer Sanjivani Remake begins shoot from THIS month?

Surbhi Chandna, who was last seen in Ishqbaaaz, might soon grace our TV screens with the much talked about untitled show which is said to be a remake of Sanjivani, the cult medical drama. Surbhi stole hearts as Annika and we are pretty sure her new avatar and character will leave fans all the more enthralled. Now, we hear that the makers are keen to launch the show by June this year.

A little birdie informs that the makers have zeroed on Surbhi Chandna to play the female lead on the show while Namit Khanna might be seen playing the male lead, although the hunt for the male lead seems to be still on. "The makers are hoping to begin shooting by May this year and set the ball rolling for the launch in June." While it is still not clear what time slot the show might get, the channel will surely give it a prime time slot given the nature of the show.

We tried reaching producer Siddharth Malhotra for a comment, but he didn't divulge any details.

Apart from Surbhi, Gurdeep Kohli and Mohnish Behl have also been roped in to be part of the show, according to reports. Mohnish and Gurdeep were part of the first season as well. The show aired between 2002 and 2005. Later, the second season to the show titled Dill Mill Gayye was launched which starred Karan Singh Grover, Jennifer Winget, Karan Wahi, Shilpa Shukla, Mohnish Behl among others.

I think you might find Surbhi might sparkle regardless of who stars opposite her. Her love scenes / story /chemistry was amazing in Qubool Hain; to the point where I didn't even try to watch IB initially because I was convinced it wouldn't be as good. But it was!

I haven't watched QH so won't comment on that I actually watched Nakuul's previous drama a lil bit so I knew him before IB I had no idea who Surbhi was tbh. Later I grew to love Annika & Shivaay, Narbhi brought Shivika to life😳I am sure Nakuul & Surbhi will rock in their individual shows but I'm a Narbhi/Shivika fan so of course I want to see them casted opposites😃

Yeh I didn't really like Pyaar Ka Dard. Nothing to do with Nakuul who I thought was really good in it, but the lead actress was probably too young / inexperienced for the role. She never really drew me in like Nakuul / Surbhi did. Then in the sequel, again both leads were again too young / inexperienced lol.

I think we'll def see them together in I don't watch TV or another Nox production. I bet Nakuul realises the value in his chemistry with Surbhi and will try to cash in on it while the IB fans are still interested.

I think you need to give them a chance to grow individually as well especially SC who just started her career and being cast with the same actor wouldn't look good on her graph, let her do this show with a different co star!
