If i love any couple..i prefer watching their whole journey not just romance ..i love emotional moments b/w couples more ..
I randomly watch many shows or atleast keep a tab of story line...Right now i can say KCL is best in terms of story line ,acting ,chemistry everything better tham 99% shows which are above in ranking ..i extecmely hate random trip fall on the name of chemistry ..
Another show i watch daily is patiala babes due to its story & good acting ...So my preference is diffrent

True content of the show and it's pace becomes very important In a daily series. Same like you said I do watch KCL and PB for these two reasons. Bringing Krishna Veer together was a part of the story but finally the show should move. The pace of storytelling is good in KCL though fast sometime but that keeps the drama factor intact. If the makers would have been some one else then it would have taken 8 long months to get KV together then 2 months wedding which would have butchered the drama factor. Many of the moments keep you at the edge of the seat like what next. That's the speciality of KCL and it keeps hooked.

My two cents on this:
There is a majority of people, like you and me, watch TV for all the right reasons. But we also have access to the internet, and laptops and cellphones. We have plenty of choices. We pick and choose and let go of shows when they lose their essence. I watch plenty of stuff, and I have discontinued as many too...

My personal opinion is Star ruined most of the audience - more specifically Ekta did. With saas bhi kabhi bahoo and all those old never ending shows ruined audiences. Over the last few decades, even the shows which start on such a new concept end up taking the typical path.

Be it Naamkarann (although I feel it was mostly because after Reema ji's death the makers changed the storyline), or Suhani se aik Ladki, or many such shows which actually had a different story - could've done wonders for audience ended up taking the usual route only because that's what audience now expect.

It would take and patience on makers end. Shows like PB are working and it is NOT a usual story. But they are working because they are probably not on SP. Being a Pakistani, I am proud of our drama industry. Although I do personally believe that quality has decreased compared to the 90s but then competition has its consequences... Even then, the makers and channels end up facing all sorts of threats and censorships when they are adamant on showing something different and unique - they have shown a painful story of child rape despite censorships and protests and they have shown shows about a transgender child who has every right to live with his parents. These were the shows which faced too many difficulties and yet makers and the channels took it upon themselves to show it. And initially, they were rejected by the general audience. No one wanted to see these harsh painful truths and yet, eventually, they became the highest rated shows...

Reason to talk about this is: makers and channel both sometimes have to risk it without considering the audiences. Because change is always, at first, rejected.

To answer your question: I think there is a mix. There are people who watch whatever they get, there are people who want a solid story and there are people who just want romance. I think it up to the channel to divide the slots in a way that everyone gets what they want.. There should be progressive shows, shows which have a solid meaning and story and then shows which have love and relationships and normal saas bahu sagas. Eventually, the progressive shows would take over the industry - just like story and content has finally made its place in Bollywood.

I of course was busy since last week, that why I was not active here! I love the pace of the story, along with the storyline. In real life also we don't get all happy situations everyday right? Why can't people acknowledge that. Anyway, will be here till I enjoy the story. There are no words to explain about the performances of the actors. All are superb. Although it's not the most famous tv show in Indian TV, the story and the performance are excellent. It surely is a must watch show. I'm so glad I came across these two

Unfortunately the audience gives a lot of importance to the lead pairing, thus some brainless serials like KKB tend to go on for years. N that is one of the reasons the younger generation has mostly resorted to web series, where content is given preference.

For me, chemistry is very important. Not just between the leads, but between the entire cast. I love seeing how characters interact with one another and build relationships with each other, be it friendships, Bhabhi/Nanad, Daamaad/Sasur, etc. not to say that the chemistry between the main leads isn't important - it very much is. I confess, I'm drawn to shows that have a good love story!

But I also need logic in my TV shows, which is why most of ITV frustrates me. It's one of the things that has drawn me to KCL - the CVs have given their characters such depth that even when they react irrationally, you can understand their motivations. And it's rare that there's a true lapse of logic in the storyline. I just hope and pray it stays that way! 😊

Till the show was about love of KrishVeer, followers were increasing, from twitter to instagram, I could see the changes, it was all storm, but now when separation track is there, I can again see the change, if t would have been a movie, people would have appreciated it, some people on instagram who don't like megha and Karan's pair are saying, how come they can marry and get intimate so fast, OK I agree , that they should have dragged the shadi track more as it was actually make kcl popular and is also responsible for increase in the TRPs, but if we stop thinking it like a typical Indian TV show, and think about it like a movie or a Pakistani series where just in 20 episodes, they show kids too, and a good story well executed, then I don't think, it's a big deal. Now, with separation track, the energy is gone, this proves, people watch shows just for lovey dovey scenes and not for story much. People love to watch shows either for chemistry or for 1 month shadi tracks like in yrkkh or for watching interior of the houses or noticing dresses of the leads or watch them because every one watches without applying their own brains just like KKB. 😆😆

Story doesn't matter for 'many ' Indian TV show viewers and that's reflected in the TRPs of some crap shows. If they don't like a lead pair, just because they can't see their favourites with another actor, no matter how much the show is good, they will try to find logic in every possible thing to bash the show. I feel, I am happy with the story the way it is progressing, without pain, there can't be the test of love. I am a kind of person, if a show even has may favourite actor, and I don't like the story, I won't watch it. Just sharing my perspective, no offences to anyone. I am saying this because being a Harshad Chopda fan, I haven't watched all his shows, I only liked the ones which I got hooked to. Same, will happen with Karan and megha in future, if I would not get connected to their shows, I may not watch them.

Story is important... Chemistry is important... In KCL... The Kanpur circus is annoying but now the show is nice.. I like Krishveer. At least there is no nonsense like Nazar... Nobody's plat can become longer and wrap itself around and individual. This is the nonsense Gul is showing. Gul has somehow managed to convince Star that Nazar should continue... I don't know on what basis? Although she rubbished the reports of Ishaqbaaz going off air and was trying till the very end to bring optional tracks to save the show..she wasn't successful? She has rubbished the news of Nazar going off air when India forums asked her? But, the timing given of both YHM and Nazar going off air is June.. so, it is a possibility she is also denying it just like the YHM gang is for the time being? It will be announced closer to the date of going off air? Ishaqbaaz going off air was also disclosed closer to the date.
