Havent watched the scene yet but Mayank could not be the killer? And y did he keep the watch in his drawer???? Which killer does this??? And wat was Tara's father's role in Mayank's life??? Wat was his importance?? So many questions that need an answer

I don't think Mayank killed Tara's father. Maybe her father was into supernatural stuff...so he was killed by someone from the rakshas/daayan vansh.
