I really want to know Will Smith's agenda here. Why the sudden interest? How much is he being paid for something like SOTY? There's obviously something we are missing here.

Will Smith has had an interest in Bollywood for a while now. In fact Aish was supposed to work on some of his movies but it never happened.

Exactly. People think he's suddenly getting interested in BW but I remember watching his old interviews when he came to India around 2005, in which he stated that he's likes BW. He even presented the best actress Filmfare award to Rani for Black and did a dance number with Shiamak Davar.
