Do women in Bollywood need to step up?

By this I mean, stop being doormats to their bf/spouse and live for them. Can't say for everyone but you hear about those who have abusive husbands, cheating husbands, bf's and yet they still stay with it. It's not easy just to get up and leave sometimes, but I feel more women should be told they are stronger than how they are treated and can be well off without those losers. I just feel bad for them.

Like there are so many cases like these and they continue to put up with such people.

Aur to aur even it's not hidden from public...everybody laughs or make comments behind their back.

It depends on whom you are talking about. Some woman deliberately stays with them for their own benefits too.

1. Because paisa mei paramatma hai they dont want to leave their husbands and 2. Cos of kids they are tied to the bandhan i guess 3. Bhala hai bhura hai jaisa bhi hai mera pati mera devta hai !!These are the main reasons why they dont step up !

See the problem is despite akki's cheating, twinkle stays with him because it's more beneficial to her to be his wife than not be his wife. I'm not saying she is not in love with her husband, but who's really even remember twinkle today if not for Akshay? Would she really be mrs funnybones lol .. I do think Susanne was one of the few to leave and I do applaud her .. however she didn't have a lot to lose. She already got all her publicity at hritiks peak. His career drowned she left too lol. As for kajol, I really do believe she is crazy about Ajay, she never needed him for his name but you can tell she is crazy about her husband so she'd rather ignore his affairs.

People talk so much about women. There r many men who put up with their trashy wives too. Jackie Shroff puts up with Ayesha despite her Sahil Khan affair. Arbaaz put up with Malaika for a long time. Johnny Depp himself was stuck with a Abusive Amber. And we would think how is it possible for Men to tolerate such shit. I guess the reasons vary from case to case.
