Seeing the promos and the songs, i am confused if kalank is based in the pre partition subcontinent or in Aladdin's town agrabah?

The set looks so bloody fake and it also looks very middle easternish... people are decked up like its a mughal era or smth, what has kjo even tried to make?

I'm also very confused about the timeline ...kjo seriously this a page out of bhansali's work but failed to make it believable for that time period..

Period dramas demand extensive scholarly research. The movie certainly lacks in this department.

SLB is master in this, his research is extensive, not easy to match that up as it shows in Kalank's sets.

Dont have so much hopes from bollywood.

They read a different history.

They are elites.

Give them mohenjodaro mughal partition or jungle

They will turn it into sugarpop bubblegum unicorn fairyland😲
