I don't know why but I have been getting these vibes when I see the interaction between Abir and his maasi, that she's actually his mother. Could be totally wrong, but the way she looks at him give me this feeling.

could be possible or they may bring this in future

but as of now I feel Abhir has strong opposition to what his mom does is because of her domination -----to the extent that his father had to leave the house and go

I second that.

He cannot stand her overbearingly dominant attitude.

Having said that, I do feel the Maasi/Maid (since I'm unclear whether or not is she Ben Baa's sister as yet) has some sort of a soft corner for Abir. Maybe later on in the show they divulge to us that indeed she mothers Abir.
