Kriti Sanon's Luka Chuppi is on a rampant run at the box office, owing to the phenomenal success of the film,the director couldn't stop gushing about his leading lady.

Collecting Rs 87.60 crores, Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi is heading towards surpassing the 100 crore mark and the actress is basking in the glory of her outing which has earned her accolades for her performance as Rashmi. The film's director Laxman Utekar too is very impressed with Kriti Sanon.

Expressing his fondness for the actress, Laxman Utekar said, "Rashmi is innocent, hyper and also has a childlike excitement. To blend all that in a character is very difficult but Kriti pulled it off very well. I was very happy and blessed to work with Kriti, I don't think anyone could have played Rashmi the way she did. She has a wide range in her performance as an actor and also has great understanding and clarity of the character. We didn't shoot the film in a linear manner, but she had understood the character so well that I myself can't make out what's shot first."

Kriti Sanon is currently riding high with the back-to-back two successful films like Bareilly Ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi. The actress will next be seen in Kalank in which she has a special number apart from her interesting line up of films like Arjun Patiala, Housefull 4 and Panipat.

She does deserve to be credited for giving Bareilly ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi. But i feel her success is undermined because she's an outsider. She could've played Alia's role in Raazi beautifully

^I think Kriti is applying what everyone else is doing. I cannot hold her down for doing what seems to be the norm now. How do you get ahead when you have no backing other than aggressive PR? Even Deepika had SRK and Farah Khan backing her. Kriti has no such inside support.

Deepika worked with biggies at the beginning of her career hence that rapport was created straight away. Her father was relatively known as well. Kriti has no famous family connections and debuted with Tiger who hogged all the limelight.

Right after Heropanti which was co-produced by then UTV's head Siddarth Roy Kapur. We all act like a revisionist lol.

Remember the recent story that a much married actress was having trouble over her producer honcho husband's flings with other women? An emerging starlet was also mentioned in this story.

We've learnt that the emerging starlet is actually a tall, lissome lass from a non filmy background who has recently made her Bollywood debut with a hit action thriller. Now it seems that the said starlet is soon going to sign a 3-film deal with the producer's powerful production banner.

His wife, currently immersed in her film related work, stirs clear of all references to issues in her marriage.

What 3 films has Kriti done under Siddharth's UTV except Heropanti? This is 2014 blind item you've digged out whereas its 2019 now and she's worked with mostly new directors.

Yup, people tend to forget that she was once rumored to have been in a relationship with Vidya's husband.

Even if it's true, I don't think one can hold it against her as it's hard to enter and sustain in Bollywood without support.

Deepika and Anushka as outsiders were lucky to have had support from the get go and shoot straight up to the A-list but like Priyanka and Kangana, Kriti might have needed a big name to support her and help her avoid the casting couch as much as possible because I do think we don't know about half the shaddy stuff that's going on behind the scene there.

UTV folded soon because Sid Roy Kapur sucks as a CEO lol. Disney bought it out and pulled plug. Those films never materialized. But she had a POWERFUL person in the industry backing her at the time.

Point of the story is quit trying to make her a saint among the sinners. She knows how to play the game. She is part of the same boat. I know it takes two to tango but track record shows she has an affinity for booked men (Sid, SSR). 😆

You go around believing blinds on anyone else and demeaning them right? Don't discard hers.

Backing her? How so? She debuted with them and then worked with them after years after becoming successful.. She had a string of flops and so many duh movies.. So that backing did not really work for her.. The PR with RK sure as hell did play a role though😆

Stop projecting people as sinners if they're not! I'm not discarding any blind item but posed a serious question of how many projects has she signed under UTV?Which films didnt materialise? What influence does he have over her career at present? What strings has he pulled for her? Are you her manager you cannot say with surety what's happening behind the scenes. I don't believe every blind item because like many on this forum we know not all are true.
