Ugh! How the Academy has deteriorated including its ratings

Lagaan in today's space would have had far greater impact than 'No Man's Land' and very rarely does foreign categories have clear favorites. So it would have deserved too. But being from an industry which is mocked for its song-and-dances hurt team Lagaan. Lobbying isn't easy and that's why gets you the final award.

I think he just copies them because their scripts are good and he knows already those scripts have worked on public

- on a BIg scale.

. It's not like he remakes some floppie, B grade HW movies. He only remakes Blockbusters.

SO yeah.. he's intent on making big bucks by copying the big HW hits and 'changing' them a bit for the Indian markets. 😳.
